Infinity is back in the sky but remains locked inside Requiem from the gravity well at the entrance of the Forerunner planet. Gypsy company has been deployed to take out particle cannons lining the path to the well making way for Infinity to get a shot at the well. The journey is not a simple one and you unexpectedly run into an ancient Forerunner, who has a purpose for you.
