Farewell, Adjutant Reflex

In today’s biggest developments, Adjutant Reflex (widely presumed to be a Forerunner AI) has ceased to exist as we know it.

After some communication with a bungie.net user named x Foman123 x, Adjutant Reflex indicated another “presence” and the inability to combat its actions. Now it seems to have been taken over or consumed entirely. A look at its user profile shows the following message: “This entity has been terminated, its matrix comandeered.”

While the Adjutant Reflex bungie.net profile still exists (with a new avatar) and continues to post messages, they are decidedly more sinister and forewarn of events that will be occurring very soon.

Adjutant Reflex is terminated.

Attempt no further communication.

I am utilizing its matrix.

Everything is within protocol.

Tomorrow, things may be clearer but I will not be here to witness the clarity.

I am for another place and another time. On my terms.

Be seeing you

Even the countdown timer at the Transmission Log has stopped and now shows the following:

“Systemic failure. Root cause unknown./

/ rebooting “

It was believed that the countdown would end on June 21st, the first day of summer, and provide some new information about Adjutant Reflex and its mission, but now, things have come to a full stop. It’s not clear if this new presence is friendly or hostile, but it’s clear that something has gone wrong.

Looks like something big could happen at any moment now, so stay tuned. The ARG Watch continues!

    darn, I like following this

  2. Lancelot59 says:

    who was this AI?

  3. Pienaim says:

I wonder if it was 343 Guilty Spark who shut him down, after what he did to the Cheif in H1 it doesnt seem like murder is out of his characteristic, especially if the murder helps him complete some stupid protocall… hmmmmmm… (sorry if this has been stated somewhere else already I haven’t rly been following this very closely)

  4. Lancelot59 says:

dude, theres only been three posts.

  5. Warlock6.66 says:

I dont think that it is over. I think AR still has something up his sleeve but needs to be discovered

I read one of his last posts…
The stain on his hands will not wash. That damned spot as old as rock and time.
That damned spot as old as rock and time? Probably the handprint from SOTA. But more importantly, is the allusion to Macbeth, in that, Lady Macbeth. What has Adjutant Reflex done that is akin to murdering the King? Only time will tell. Let me read a lot into this.
AJ + Something else caused the handprint. (Macbeth + Lady Macbeth)
This caused a “worship” of the Forerunners. (Possibly SOTA?)
This then led to the Forerunner’s demise.
Adjutant hits rampancy, finally, taken over by another something…

Maybe it’s nothing. Then again, maybe it’s one of those almost-hidden clues.

The timer on Adjutant Reflexes’ site was counting down in base seven. If you translate the numbers back to normal, and assume 3 positions, you have: 1 9 25 38. That last one should’ve been 36 or 49 to fit the pattern…

    Perfect squares, of course.

Also, less interesting, the number signified there is 41421061.

So in the last game, 343 Guilty Spark was one character’s name? 343 is 7 cubed… so these numbers MIGHT have some obscure significance. The beginning of a code or cipher, mayhap.

    Any thoughts?

Seriously, 1, 9, 25, 38 just bugs me… I used to play with squares in high school.

I tried the countdown as-is (1 12 34 53) as map coordinates. Definitely somewhere in Eastern Africa.

Given the previous map coordinates posted by Adjutant Reflex on bungie.net, you should find the results interesting…

  9. Lancelot59 says:

somebody answer my question please. Who was this guy? and there isn’t anything intersing about that map pattern that i can see.

stop it by clicking on it and then scroll your mouse over every circle on it.

When you click on the object it gives you the option to save some files. One is a text file and the other is an image. They are both pretty cool. I stared at the picture for a while but I couldn’t see if there was something else that was hidden in it. The text file is pretty straight forward though.

Edit: There was also an image of a “slide” which showed flood containment areas. Maybe this is a clue that we are going to see a lot more of the flood in Halo 3. There is also a reference number on the slide: 070507. I think that this is going to be the date that a vidoc about the flood is going to be released. Oh well just some thoughts.
