The Halo World Championship has crowned a victor and Counter Logic Gaming has earned the title of world champions taking home $1,000,000. This is the largest prize pool in competitive Halo and console eSports history, with 60% of the pool being crowd funded. In addition to champions being crowned, this is the first major tournament we’ve seen a team from overseas beat out an American team in pool play with Epsilon eSports from the UK. For this recap, we are joined by the one and only Nak3d Eli discussing the outcome of the tournament, and the way the event and season were run. We also had the privilege of interviewing Epsilon eSports, Team Immunity and Team Elevate during the weekend getting their views on the tournament as events unfolded. We also had a chat with Walshy and Goldenboy after day 2 and the semi-finals with their predictions and views of how the teams had performed up to that point. We would like to congratulate CLG for their success at the Halo World Championship and hope to see all the teams that participated back in the competitive scene again.
