Another light week of news or so we thought until Grim dropped another community update in our laps. Taking a look at some of the recent events, MLG New Orleans saw Splyce keep their number one spot in the Halo Championship Series, announcement of the 2018 season finals, some SDCC happenings and community creations. The latest Halo Icons figure was revealed with an announcement that the third year will pull together all members of Noble Team. A couple of community tournaments have also been announced that introduce some pretty interesting and unique twists.

Five years ago at E3, the Halo TV Show was announced alongside Halo: The Master Chief Collection and be a flagship series for Xbox Entertainment Studios. It eventually came to pass that the studio was shut down and we were left with the yearly status update of, “It’s still being worked on.” Thanks to an announcement on Thursday, we’re finally seeing the first signs of daylight from this series with an official announcement from Xbox and Showtime on a production start date in early 2019.
