Our first successful season of Halo is behind us. Now it’s time to pick your teams or join a team for the next season! Because of all the fun everyone had last season, there has been a huge amount of interest in participating in this one. The winners get interviewed on the podcast, get special userbars and special ranks in the forums. And you get a virtual trophy! Matches take place once a week but you can schedule the match any time in the week that works for both of your teams, so it’s not a strain on your schedule. See here for all the rules designed to make it a fun and fair season. (We learned a lot from last time!) Signups are only available until October 2nd, so whether you have a team picked out or not, go over to the signups page and we’ll get you set up.

This past Friday, John Porcaro at the awesome Gamerscore blog talked about his addiction to podcasts and included Podtacular on his list of must hear podcasts. If you didn’t know, Gamerscore blog is written by members of the Microsoft Games marketing team. It’s good to know Microsoft is listening!

Yes, the undefeated Podtacular All-Stars have in fact been defeated by the guys at halo2.junk.ws, the halo 2 stats site. Looks like it was really close! It went win, loss, win, tie, loss, loss. So we were one kill away from winning the challenge. Good game, and we’re looking forward to the rematch! MaesterGXL has a detailed writeup of the match in the forums.
Quality Jeverage brings us another awesome comic, this time about the Podtacular spotlight aka heat lamp. This reminds me of wizard of oz. More talk in the forums.
