This week during PAX East, some Halo 4 information in the latest issue of Game Informer got leaked to the public. While it’s still not technically official (when this was recorded), there is reason to believe that most of the information in the leak is accurate, and that’s what we’re here to talk about. The Sound of Music

The hills are filled with the sound of music as 343i finally reveals their composer behind the Halo 4 music. If you watch the Making Halo 4: Composing Worlds video that 343i posted along with the bulletin, you will see that he has a unique approach to making his music that differs from what we’ve come to love from Marty. However, if you listen to the Halo 4 Soundtrack Samples (also available for download), you’ll hear that it still has that mysterious Halo sound.

Populate Halo 3 Today

There has been a movement to get everyone to play Halo 3 for nostalgia’s sake. Well, today is that day! While I’m having fun at PAX East, I won’t be able to join in the festivities, but you should hop on and get some games in with some other Halo fans that have helped promote the movement. If you get lucky and run into Greenskull, you might even get an avatar code. Details can be found on his YouTube channel.

Podtacular 279: Non-information

While we wait for more Halo 4 information to come down the pipe, we take some time to talk about some things going on in the community. The two big talking points discussed on the show are the non-informative responses we received form 343i and the end of the Reach API and online file share. Not that we’re trying to complain, but with 343i taking the reins of Halo, they are legitimate concerns that we have. Enjoy

New Voicemail Number

As pointed out my one of our community members, our old voice-mail number is no longer valid.  Turns out that the number got terminated because of inactivity.  Now we have a new number you can call into at any time any leave any kind of Halo related message, whether it would be a lovely tale from the foxhole, custom creations, or anything else.  The number is (206) 339-6937 (sorry, no fancy acronym).  So what are you waiting for, get to calling and get your voice heard on the show.

Needless to day, there are lots of opinions and questions out there about the Halo universe and Halo 4. We also have special guest Rob Imbs (Just Rob) who is making a film, Game Changers , based on two professional Halo players who are best friends pursuing different lives around gaming.
