Podtacular 346: Bulletin Update

While many couples are spending time with one another, we are here to talk about our true love, Halo (since it’s Valentines Day, duh). Yesterday’s bulletin shows us some eValentines cards you can give to that special Player 2 that they are sure to enjoy (if they are a Halo nut). We also get a look behind Spartan Ops Episode 8, Matchmaking updates including the introduction of Team Throwdown, and more info about the Title Update dropping in two weeks. As always, we read our submissions and start a question of the show segment. This week’s question: Would you pay for a second season of Spartan Ops and if so, how much would you pay for it? We also wanted to highlight another podcast and the multiplayer tips they talked about that are really good ones to take with you into matchmaking. Halo 4 Campaign: Infinity

After releasing the Didact, you are faced with the UNSC Infinity crash landing on Requiem. You must make your way through the jungle, meet up with other Marines and Spartans along the way, and defend Infinity while repairs are being made, but you must hurry – you’re not the only one heading towards Infinity. Also, you get to drive a Scorpion tank. Helping us run through one of the toughest Halo 4 missions is the mythical man himself, Mythic Tyrant, founder of the mythic community. Enjoy

Bungie’s ARG Campaign Begins

While this isn’t specifically Halo related, we must respect our roots and keep up to date with the happenings of Bungie. Earlier tonight, Bungie started one of their famed ARGs to drop little gems of information about their upcoming IP Destiny. It was first noted by the masses around 1:00 AM, February 12th (UTC) over at http://alphalupi.bungie.net/. People have been bashing heads for the last three hours trying to solve the puzzle for day 0 and the masses have succeeded. The image hidden in the puzzle can be found here, but that’s just for the first of 7 days. Keep an eye out on NeoGAF, Reddit as well as two blogs focused on the effort: Misriah Solutions and thebruce’s tumblings.

Podtacular 345: Bulletin Update

Podtacular 343: Evolution of Grifball

An iconic episode is upon us as we reach our 343rd episode of Podtacular and how ironic that we cover the staple sport of Halo: Grifball! As most of you are aware, Grifball is not your run-of-the-mill custom; it’s an all out way of life for some Spartans. We mentioned briefly on our last show some of the history of the origins of Grifball, but now it’s time to pull back the curtains on how Grifball has evolved from it’s idea in Red vs. Blue to the fully fledged gametype we now have in Halo 4. Our special guest SquirrelBurrito from the National Grifball Association helps give us the rundown behind this epic sport. Enjoy
