This last weekend was PAX East 2013 and while we already covered the Castle Map Pack with the Ready Up Live crew, we did not talk in depth about the rest of the event or focus heavily on 343i’s panel. With the joining forces of the folks over at Grifball Hub, we bring you our take on the event from Boston. Dr. Halsey has been abducted by Jul ‘Mdama and thanks to Admiral Osman’s orders, Palmer is all too happy to go out to find and eliminate Halsey after her treachery. Lasky does not feel the same way about having to execute a civilian and sends in Fireteam Majestic to rescue Halsey. Meanwhile, Halsey meets the Librarian who tells her about the Janus key and all it holds that was specifically set aside for her. Will Majestic make it to Halsey before Palmer can execute her? Will Halsey get away with the key with Jul standing just outside? You have to tune in with HaloFanForLife to find out. Enjoy

Podtacular 355: Castle Unveiled

A few lucky community members got invited to an early PAX event to play the Castle map pack. We were given early access to the Mad Catz Unveiled pre-Pax party and got a first look at the maps dropping on April 8th. All maps were playable including Daybreak, Perdition and Outcast in various game modes such as CTF, Slayer and King of the Hill. Among those community members were people from our good friends over at Ready Up Live, those of which you may already know, but are making their debut podcast appearance representing RUL’s presence at PAX. Public Relations SMG90, Creative Manager Drax and community member Micky 126 and I huddled in their hotel room for a late night recording so we could talk about what we took away from the event, resulting in the following podcast. Podtacular 354: Bulletin Update

This week, Halo is at PAX, are you? If so, you’ll get some big information regarding the next map pack and title update. If not, there’s some tid bits, 343 has given in this week’s Halo Bulletin. Despite their busy schedule, they released a lot of information regarding their PAX schedule, matchmaking updates and a few items we’ll be seeing in the next title update. There are lots of goodies to sort through and they will go more in depth on the future of Halo multiplayer and the next title update on their panel today. Spartan Thorne and Dr. Glassman have been traveling through canyons on Requiem making their way to Galileo base after their escape from the Covenant. While they’ve made considerable progress and almost home, they are not alone, pursued by an unknown threat. Back on infinity, the Promethean attack continues as Halsey and Lasky run around Infinity until found by Palmer. The true purpose of the Promethean attack is revealed when Dr Halsey is willingly snatched up by a Knight. Will Thorne and Glassman survive the impending attack? What’s going to happen to Dr. Halsey from the UNSC for her treason and from the Covenant after allowing herself to be captured?
