Podtacular 372: Assaulting Announcement

Yesterday, Waypoint announced Halo: Spartan Assault, a new game built for the Windows 8 platform. Lots of speculation has been generated regarding the title on the basis that it is exclusive to Windows 8 PCs and mobile platforms. We have seen Halo do something similar in the past with Halo 2 Vista trying to promote a platform that is not being highly adopted by consumers. With fans already on the fence about 343 Industries ability to foster the Halo franchise, what does this title hold in the balance of the future of Halo? On a positive note, we will get to play as Spartan Palmer between the timelines of Halo 3 and Halo 4, giving us some back story into her time as a Spartan. Enjoy

Podtacular 371: Weapon Tuning Complete

For the last two months, Waypoint has been giving us updates in their weekly bulletins on the weapon tuning undergoing for Halo 4, hoping to restore some balance to the weapons in the Halo sandbox. Thanks to the efforts of the community and the feedback 343i has received through their forums, we now have the final set of changes of the weapon tuning. Granted, the actual numbers are not supplied for all the changes, but having a final picture gives us a good picture of what’s to come in the next few days. Waypoint is also holding a community playdate on Monday when the update drops. Enjoy

Not too long ago, some community members were flown out to 343 to play test the current implementation and got some good quality feedback for the content of this week’s bulletin. In some other, not specifically Halo news, the official trailer for Destiny was released. It’s a mix of live action and in-engine capture and it is looking really good. Nak3d Eli takes this seat as this week’s co-host to bring you this epic news. Enjoy
