Waypoint Update: May 29th

The latest Halo community update gives us exciting news that Halo 3: ODST, Remnant and the next content update are right around the corner, sneaking in at the very end of the month.  While everything undergoes final certification tests, Bravo gives us a taste of what we’ll see with the update.  In addition to the regular fixes and features for ranking, parties/roster, UI, etc., the team has been working on a new Find Player feature that allows you to look up any player to view their file share.  Currently, the player has to be either online in your friends/following list or available in the campaign leaderboards to access their fileshare.  Here’s the new shiny method:

Full patch notes will be available after the update releases in the next couple of days.  In the last community update, Bravo dove heavily into playlist updates including Team Doubles becoming a permanent playlist, reordering of voting options in many playlists and ranks being added to Halo: CE, Halo 2 Classic, Halo 3, Halo 4, Team Hardcore, and Team Doubles playlists.  On the HCS front, Evil Geniuses continue their stream of wins taking Online Cup #3 this past weekend.  Based on feedback from pros, a new variant of Shrine will be used starting with ESL Online Cup #5.  Finally, we were dumped with the newest set of achievements hitting with ODST adding 1000 gamerscore.  Many of the achievements you’ll recognize from the original game with a few new ones and one Remnant achievement thrown in.  Here’s a full list of the achievements.
