I got a Wii for Christmas! w00t oh ya UBER PWNAGE. I gotta tell ya it rules
like heck. TOP GAMES: Zelda and Excite Truck. They both pwn and make good
use of the Wii’s motion sensing capability. There is almost nothing the
Wii can’t do (with the exception of making a decent omlette). As soon as I
get my internet conected to it I won’t be out of my room for a few weeks.

On an unrelated note, here’s a funny Wii story: In the first level o Call of Duty 3 you are ambushed by a German and you
need to wrestle with him by moving the Wiimote and nunchuck. My uncle came
in my room while I was doing this and saw me in a life or death struggle
and began freaking out. Ha. Well that’s all I got.

call of duty 3

Bottom Line: Wii pwns PS3 sucks I don’t care what you say you’re wrong,
I’m right, nuff said.

zelda, excite truck

I got a Wii on launch night, and overall, I’m extremely happy with it.
Some of the basics:

A Mii is somewhat of a 3d cartoon version of basically anybody. You can
choose from a variety of mouths, hair, noses, eyes, and colors. Then, you
can send a Mii over an internet connection to any of your friends, or use
it in Wii Sports.

miis

In Wii Sports, your Mii has various stats, including a score for each of
the 5 sports in the game. By playing each sport long enough and good
enough, you can achieve “Pro” status. For some sports, this gives you a
bonus, such as a new and more powerful ball in bowling.
As far as the game selection goes, the only one I’m completely content
with is Wii Sports. I enjoyed ExciteTruck for about an hour, then didn’t
feel inclined to pick it up and play it again.
Sadly, Zelda is the same case for me. I’m sure others will disagree, but
the tasks just seemed too repetitive and bland to me. I got about 5 or 6
hours into it, then I just stopped playing altogether.

wii sports

Overall, I am quite pleased with the Wii, and it has tons of potential. I
just hope that developers can do a better job of utilizing that potential.

Hey podtac its niteshadow and I have some reviews on the Wii. I got the Wii
for christmas and I must say it is freakin amazing! I think it has
everything a nintendo fan could want. Let me start off with Wii sports. I
think its so fun and great for the family. The exp points for when your
playing alone gives you a great challenge. I have made pro in wii bowling
and its so fun. Second the backward capability is much better than that of
the 360 because it plays ALL GameCube games instead of a selected few. This
is great for those who loved the classic SSBM.The shop channel is great for
those who can relax playing a nice classic from nintendo. Well thats all I
have to say for now. Great job guys and keep on fraggin trucks!

back compat and virtual console

I’m doing an article for the school newspaper on how people lose grip of
the controller and the wrist strap breaks. The controller goes straight
into your new Xbox 360 or straight into your 40 inch plasma screen HDTV.
ALso people are getting hurt while playing, dislocated knees, broken arms,
you name it.

all about the controller

Go to wiihaveaproblem.com for more info.

The Wii is aswome! Some of the coolest things about the Wii are the
creating of your avatars a.k.a. Mii’s. Your mii’s can be used for wii
sports and your stats, but coming soon is Wii play witch is a collection
of mini games that take advantage of your mii’s. Another cool thing about
the Wii is the virtual console & the Opera Web Browser. The virtual
console is basically were you go to DownLoad your favorite classic games
like super Mario (almost like the xboxlive arcade). The Opera Web Browser
is well you guessed it, a web browser from opera. At the moment it is only
a trial version but you can go on any web site that has flash (Youtube)
check your email or even go on your favorite message boards (PODTACULAR
FTW!!!!!) And last but not least im just going to say that Zelda rules and
is the best installment of the franchise yet. So all in all yes I am a
Wii-ner

web browser

I feel that the name of the Wii is childish sounding, but also somewhat
inapropriate. There are many situations where the use of it can sound
wrong. For example: “Can I bring my Wii over then we can both play with
our Wii’s?”

Hey Podtacular, this is Xaurus777 and I got a Wii and I will tell you about
it. I’ll start with Wii sports. You can choose from Tennis, Baseball, Golf,
Boxing, or Bowling. My favorite is Tennis. Bowling and Boxing are pretty
fun too, though. About the Mii’s. Mii’s are little people that you can
create on your Wii. You can change everything about them from their height
and weight to if they have a beauty mark on them. The online capability is
just like the Nintendo DS, where you have friend codes for the Wii. You
type it in and then you can send that person messages and you can send
them your Mii. Zelda is a pretty fun game although it is dull at the
beginning it gets good. The Wii has a lot of capability but it just needs
to be unlocked. I would have to give the Wii and 8 out of 10. Hope you
guys had a Marry Christmas and Happy New Year. Keep on fraggin’ trucks.

the future of the wii

I haven’t been fortunate enough to actually play any wii games yet and I am
dying to try out wii sports and others. I may have to buy a wii for super
smash bros. brawl alone.
My only concern with the wii is that I don’t know how long nintendo can
keep making motion based games like this for the entirety of the wii’s
lifespan. It just seems like this will limit them on the amount and
variety of the games that they will bring to their console. I know that
they came out with a regular controller for the console and someone told
me that you could plug a gamecube controler in and use that too for all
the normal non-motion games. But then if nintendo starts making more games
that DON”T use the wii’s motion control, it’s like they are straying away
from what makes their console special and unique.
This cycle could up frustrating gamers and lead to bad things for the wii
in the future. Not saying this will happen I’m just thinking out loud.
Don’t get me wrong though, I love the idea of playing games you can
actually physically interact with, and I will probably get a wii for
myself sooner or later. Just wanted to share my thoughts.

gamecube compatibility

ok, lets get this out of the way the wii is the bomdigity my sister go one
for Christmas there awesome wii sports is so fun but the graphics arnt to
great but hey its about fun not graphics!

I bought my Wii on launch day. So far I’m impressed that Nintendo is
1) Supporting an online console and 2)Getting some decent third party support.

I’m pretty satisfied with it so far but in some places it falls short. For
instance, the rumble in the Wii remote feels out of place. The rumble motor
is right under the A button and while I’m playing Zelda, you can make link
roll but sometimes you crash up against walls. When this happens the
controller feeds me a buzzing sensation in my hands for about 2.5
seconds. It does not feel good at all. Oh and the Nunchuck doesn’t have
rumble in it. Feels kinda cheap and empty on the inside. The online is not
quite there but its coming. About the only thing you can do online with
the Wii is send and receive text messages, and you can send pictures and
browse the web too. So hopefully these miracle firmware updates will
enable the system to EXPAND upon more online features like a chat channel
or something.By the way the weather channel is pretty freeking-sweet.

As for games I bought two, RedSteel and Zelda. Redsteel is a piece of crap
and I recommend you not buy it, unless you want the box. The box looks
pretty nice for decoration and to show off, and it’ll make you look pretty
cool also. Redsteel is broken and it feels totally unfinished, and there
are a lot of bugs in it. And Zelda isn’t all that great either In my
opinion. Sure it’s the best Zelda game EVER, but the dungeons get boring
pretty quick because they all follow the same format of Ocarina of Time
and Windwaker did. Most of the dungeons follow the same format of finding
the key to the next room, fighting a boss to get the item to get out of
THAT room, finding about two or three more keys and then fighting the main
boss to get the magic thing. That you gotta collect.

But yea, aside from all that I’m pretty In love with my Wii, and if you
plan on purchasing a second console the season, I would recommend the Wii
despite the short comings because they can all be fixed, and it’s the most
different out of the three. I just wish they would release a patch to keep
the damn blue light on. It only stays on when someone sends you a message
or there’s a system update.
