MLG Update!

(intro)(outro)

I just wanted to let everyone know about the Podtacular MLG Crew. It is a
group of Podtacular members who love to play MLG Customs and have a good
time. It is run by Infektion X and me, Killazilla. The purpose of the
Crew is to make it easier for Podtac members to find other Podtac members
who love MLG customs. We have a usergroup in the forums where all the
members are listed so people can easily find other people to play with and
send them invites. We also try to scedule at least 1 event for the whole
crew per month. Right now we have 50+ members.

Sign-ups and more info can be found in the MLG Room in the Forums.

Ever since hearing about MLG coming to cable television I was a little
weary, but upon watching said show I find it to be captivating. Now I get
to see the pros at work and what makes them just that, pros. I hope that
the MLG on USA deal will run through next year and far into the future,
because I love the idea of watching video games on T.V. Maybe Halo 2
won’t be the only video game on television soon…

Vegas baby!

After playing both Gears of War and Rainbow Six: Vegas. All I can say is: VEGAS, BABY, VEGAS!
I remember my first Rainbow Six game on the PC was Raven Shield it had berzerk amount of detail in planning a mission but most of that was lost when the first rainbow six came to xbox.
After trial and error I think Vegas has hit the right combo of tactical planning and action. I’ve been hooked on it and the campaign is pretty intense, me and CapnKrunk were playing for 30 straight minutes stuck “in traffic” with tons of busted cars fending of tons of tangos with everything from turrets to snipers. Gears of War has a nice hold on gamers right now with a 2 parts action 1 part tactics gameplay. Vegas is the opposite with a higher emphasis on tactics and I think gamers are a little tired of rambo games so Vegas might give gamers a chance to use their heads more than Gears or Halo 2 has.

i thought ill give you my opinion of RB6V, although i haven’t gotten very
far into the game i am impressed, graphically its great and it multiplayer
is one that will last

so i thought i would send in my opinion of RB6V

  1. cover system – how does it compare to GoW? how about GRAW or PDZ?
  2. weapons – what’s good and what isn’t? what about armor?
  3. maps – anything noteworthy about them?
  4. lobby system / party system – how does it compare to halo 2?
  5. matchmaking
  6. PEC 2.0 – what can you customize? (clothes, face paint, sunglasses, body features, armor, weapons)
  7. face scanning – how well does it work?
  8. game types – are there objective games? is there as much customization as in halo 2?
  9. teamwork – how important is it? how does tactics play into this game?
