General Tips

I don’t know if anyone has mentioned any strategies against cheaters,
but this one has worked for me many times. If you’re getting modded and the modder has the spawn mods, then forget it, you lose. But sometimes the modder doesn’t get host so his spawn mods wont work. Three steps to beat modders and
standby-ers.
  1. Get the lead by more than four
  2. Make everyone except the best player in your team quit
  3. Let him hide the rest of the game. Chances are you’ll win if it’s a
big map. I’ve done this and won countless times against modders and
    standby-ers. -Peace

Something that I learned when I was a n00b on Burial Mounds was when it
is 1 flag ctf, on offense; when you get the flag, toss it through the
window. Also, when your going through the rib cage, go through the tunnel where the energy sword is.
For assault or 1 flag ctf, just hide with the sword crouching, and if
the defense team is stupid, they may just drive the ghost straight past
you and their base could be empty because the rest of the team is going
for rockets. Of course, your team should engage them and fight for it.
You should be at their base when your warthog gets there. You must work
together for this one and there must be a lot of communication.

One really important trick is the BXR. The BXR is a easy way to get yourself out of a close range bind. All you do is press B so you melee your enemy, than tap X, and pull the trigger. By tapping X then pulling the trigger you stop the melee animation and
give an instant burst of bullets after you punch. If you can master this, it is great for the BR, and if your real good it is perfect for the sniper!

Hey! Whats up? I have a tip for the map Ivory Tower. This works on any
gametype but I found out about this in a Team Slayer game. If there is
an Energy Sword on the map, take it and go into one of the little room, on the left or right of the elevator on the bottom floor. After you are inside crouch down so your
enemies will not see you on their radars. Then every time someone walks
down the hallway they wont see you, come out of the room and melee
them. This is a great way to get alot of kills I got a double kill off
of this. Hope you guys find this tip useful.

a good thing to do with the BR is to throw a greade right at an opponant.
Next you shoot the grenade in mid-air when it is about to bounce off
so it will take out a chunk of their shields. It takes some practice but
if you get it down it can be very effictive. Use good judgement because
this will not always work in some situations.

This is a little General tip that I use all the time when we play CTF
on Beaver Creek. If you want to score very fast all you have to do is when you grab the
enemy flag jump and toss it through the roof or the window so it will
fall outside near the Teleport. If possible have a player there to
catch as soon as it comes off… Then go onto the Tellie and take your
left out of it… go ahead and jump/toss the flag through the window of your base, and if possible have someone there… to score… this works so good
that i’ve won games in less than 3 mins with this strategies… There
are 3 tosses total and if done perfectly you can score in seconds.

Stagger fire your SMG if you have dual wield. Fire the right, then fire
the left about one second after the first. Firing only one will give
you time to aim, then the second will deliver the main punch. If you
run out of ammo, then you still have one weapon hitting them.

Alrighty, here is a general tip. When you have a sniper rifle, it
doesn’t matter which one, grab either a BR or a carbine. If you miss a
headshot when you’re sniping, quickly switch to either one and get a
headshot with the secondary weapon for the kill. This saves sniper
shots by the dozen. And, here is a tip for Ascension. Always control
the sniper rifles. Remember, there’s the second sniper rifle near the
small sniper tower. There are a bunch of different spots that are good
for the sniper but one that I found works well is near the banshee
spawn. You can see a lot of the map from the banshee spawn, and you can
cover all of the approaches to the banshee spawn: the overshield
walkway, the bridge, and the small dip to get down to the rocket
launcher. Also, when you get to the banshee spawn, pick up the BR as a
secondary weapon because it works well with the sniper for those times
you miss your target’s head.

A few episodes back, you guys had some questions regarding the
communicator white button. Well I did some research and according to
the Halo2 guidebook it says, if you tap the white button once, it opens
up a channel ONLY to your team. If you hold down the white button for 1
second(and im not joking) then let go, you will open a channel to ALL
players on map. The D-pad is just an alternative. Hope this helped you
guys.

If you want to get better at Halo, and maybe go to a MLG, then follow my
advice:
The most important thing about this game is TEAMWORK! Find a team with
your friends and people who will be online at the same time as you.
Practice with each other, get used to each other’s voice. Use names for
places on the maps so that you can call things out during a slayer
game.
Give people roles for common gametypes. This can’t be done in the 10
seconds you have in the pregame lobby. Practice going to your places in
a closed custom, and have a “Plan B”.
Observe the pros at MLGpro.com and learn from them.

Not to many players know about this but a amazing combo against vehicles
is dual plasma rifles! The easiest vehicles to take out with this combo
is the scorpion tank and the wraith because they are big and slow to
turn around and this makes your job a whole lot easier for you to take
them out. Another good way to take them out is shoot with dual plasma
rifles and when they are facing your direction you press Y and then L
to get rid of one plasma rifle and throw a grenade. The reason you do
this is because everyone knows a tank can take you out in one shot so
you should damage the tank before you die so another one of your
teammates can continue where you left off and destroy that tank.
Warthogs and ghost are not the easiest to take out with dual plasma
rifles so I suggest you just damage it enough for you teammate right
behind you to take the hog out when you die. Keep up the great work
Podtacular!

Hey guys, here my tip. When on big maps, ecspecially containment, when
you have the sniper and your aiming at a moving target, try shooting
in front of the enemy or where you think he is about to go. I’ve found
this quite useful on big maps, cause most of the time when I would try
to shot a moving target I wouldn’t do this and end up shooting about 1/2
inch of where the enemy actually ended up, and I’d be like, ” Hey what
the heck!” lol.
Well that’s my tip guys, c ya later and keep on fraggin trucks!

One tip that I have found out is 1 flag CTF on Terminal. What you want
to do is get 2 people into a warthog and drive it right under the
tracks where that little hole in the ground is and then have the person in the passenger seat get out and grab the flag. While all of this is going on, send two more of your
teamates to the top of the terminal and have them shoot down the
enemies who are chasing the flag guy back under the terminal. Then
drive the warthog back to the base and…”FLAG CAPTURED; ROUND OVER.”
I’ve found this tip to be very successful and I use it in matchmade
games all the time.

Map of the Month: Relic!

Team Slayer and FFA Slayer and Team Snipers

In Relic Team Snipers you and your team must learn the way of staying as
far away from your teammates as possible. Spread out your team
throughout the map and make sure you know two things. If your
microphone is on and your breathing hard, your opponent will be able to
hear you if hes close and this will let him know that you are near and
will be ready to attack while you are looking for the enemy when he is
right near you, unless he left his mic on also and you can here him
breathing. Another thing is you have to know when and when not to talk,
if you cant get a shot on your opponent tell your teammates where he is
so they can help, dont be selfish and get the kill yourself, the enemy
can be a better sniper for all you know and take you out in a second,
teamwork is what wins the game so you must tell your allies where your
enemies are. Also do not forget about where the big red X is when your
teammate dies, your opponent probably sniped your teammate so the enemy
shouldn’t be near the big red X. Unless when your teammate spawns and
says, “he was close to me and beat me down,” that’s when you know the
enemy is in that area near that big red X and you know to search there.
Communication is very important in a Team Snipers game. Keep up the
good
work!

For Slayer
Snipers are key, always make sure your team has at least one sniper, and
guard him at all times. Stay close and communicate on where the enemy
is. The best place to have your team camp on this level is where the
Human Sniper is. Always try to rush this spot after getting a sniper,
but stick together and try not to get killed.

Assault and CTF

The strategy I use when playing capture the flag on relic is simple. One
guy grabs the rockets quickly with the ghost and returns to base. One
guy grabs all the stickies on top of the building (where the flag is
at) and hides until teamates take out enemy sniper. Two people rush the
sniper. One grabs the sniper, snipes the enemy sniper and returns to
base. The other guy that was following the sniper picks up the enemy
sniper and returns to base. You pretty much have all the good weapons
in possession so it should be pretty easy to defent.

As for Relic… I just have a tip… When playing CTF and you need to
contest the flag… get to the front of the Relic and start jumping
right bellow the flag spot. If they don’t know where that’s coming from
or are all at the end of their base you can bring them towards you and
have the rest of the team go from the back. This only works temporarily
if played against pros but if you play against noobs it should give you
enough time to capture that flag… especially if you have both snipers.
Well That’s it for now guys… Keep up the great work. Shout out to my friend Samanator. He’s a
little special person.. So all give him a shout out…!!! lol

TIPS FOR MAP OF THE WEEK: and finally for the map of the week relic…. well first of all you need both snipers in control on opposite sides of the map at all times. Generally I would place a trustworthy guard with each sniper to prevent him from being killed. Always communicate too. If your playing team slayer and u cant afford to guard the snipers the whole match place one guard at the “worse sniper” and leave the other in a safe spot (he should have a close range weapon or a br as his secondary weapon) the other guy can roam freely, do a teabag dance in the open field, sing songs, etc. to attract attention and have the snipers take out the enemies approaching him or he should get in the ghost with rockets and splatter everyone in his way. The ghost can be very effective on this map for splattering but don’t fly off the edge!

  1. Rush snipers! Snipers totally own this map. And once you get them, never let them go.
  2. You know those ramps at the front of the base? They don’t exist in Assault or CTF. Remember that.
  3. If you are playing CTF, grabbing the flag, taking it to the back of the base, using the teleport, and running it to the base is too time consuming. Why not try running it straight out the base? Just be sure to have a ride waiting, or have all the snipers.
  4. Never snipe in obvious places. Don’t snipe from the sniper tower, or from the flag/bomb area. Just don’t do it.
  5. Don’t move from the tower area unless it is to grab a sniper or rocket.

Hey guys this is Robbedbike and here is a tip for Relic. If you are
playing CTF or Assault and you’re in defense have someone get the sword
so they can move most of the purple boxes to in front of the ramp from
wich the hog comes from and a few blocking the path to the flag. This
makes it hard for the hog to get through and pick up your flag.

Hey podtacular I have a 6v6 battle, CTF strategy. Ok when you are on
offense get three people to get in the warthog and rush the
rockets. Have the passenger grab rockets and hop back in the jeep.
Have the driver pull up to the back of the giant building thingy. Have
the rocket guy jump out and open the teleporter. Make sure the warthog
is still driving around, shooting as a distraction. Then mean while
back at where you respon have two guys rush both of the snipers. Then the last guy hops through the teleporter and meets up with the rocket guy. Then those two proceed to blow the living rabbit pellets out of anyone near the flag that the snipers didn’t get. Then once all is clear have the one guy (not the rocket guy) grab the flag, hop through the teleporter and score. This will usually confuse the other team if done quickly enough because they will still trying to get rocks and snipers, which you already have! Keep up the good work guys.

I play alot of CTF games on Relic because I play alot of big team battle
and one strategy I learned is never waste your warthog. Most games that
I played on Relic it was catastrophe. What my team does is rush the
back ramp of the enemies’ base trying to get past those purple covenant
things and the hog usually gets stuck or shot. You must have timing on
this map, the warthog is important for your strategy. What you do is
get a hog with three people and two get out to open the teleporter. The
hog goes back to base to pick up two new people. Then your team should
go thorough teleporter, some might get picked off if your enemy is
above the teleporter so be careful. A couple should walk to the side of
the base and jump on the pillars out of the ground to get on top of the
base, they are located both right and left side of the base. The
remaining members go the back way behind the base and the warthog
should be arriving so then you have a synchronized attack. Don’t stay
to close together with your teammates, throw a couple of grenades
before you go up the ramp, and stay away from warthog because it might
blow up and it does some major damage. My friends and I always do this
and we are synchronized completely. It will definitely not work if you
go into big team battle alone, have some friends who know your playing
style and work together for victory!

There are two basic things you must do if you are on OFFENSE in a 1-Flag
CTF game. They are:

  1. Get the Rocket Launcher, send the Warthog out and have one of its
passenger’s get the rocket launcher. The Rockets can take out the
ghost, and you can also fire two shots in quick succession directly at
the Covenant Sniper platform, knocking it off its base.
  2. Get the Sniper Rifle. It spawns right near your base for a reason, USE IT! Have someone grab the sniper and hop on top of your
    base.
  3. If you have these two things under control, the other team will find it quite hard to defend. Send in 3 people, 1 armed with a rocket, to grab the flag. Remember, the single MOST important thing is getting the flag off the base. Getting it down to the ground will severely hinder the enemy’s defenses.
  4. As I mentioned above, it’s good to use the rocket launcher to remove
the floating Sniper platform. This will prevent the other team from
finding a good sniper spot, and make it easier for YOUR sniper to do
    his/her job.
