Podtacular Episode 58 Show Notes

Podtacular Tips, Episode 58 for the week of April 10th, 2006

with Foo Mo Jive, Hungry Whexican, and Quality Jeverage.

This is the tips show, (explanation)

General Tips

I have a tip for snipers. If somebodys shields are down and they jump, Do not look up at them. you might loose track of them. Wait until they are on your crosshairs on there way down from the jump and then fire. Only use this for close range snipers.

In answer to JVB’s question in Episode 53 about random Press X to Boots,
the 360 Halo 2 Emulator causes this. The code that gives the kill to
the other team if you and an enemy are shooting one of you teammates
doesn’t work in the emulator. So, if one of your bullets hits one of your
teammates, it shows the Press X to Boot, even though it says “You were
killed by [Insert Enemy’s Name Here]”. So, for little kids that don’t
get that, don’t boot people when it says that you were killed by the
other team in the top corner. I have lost several levels because of
this.

When duel wielding 2 SMG’s get rid of one of the SMG’s seeing that for
some reason it seems to deal more damage to your opponent if you are
only shooting them with 1 SMG and so you can throw grenades. Also, when
duel wielding 2 SMG’s find a Plasma Rifle on the ground and make it
your secondary dual weapon so you have an SMG and a Plasma Rifle due to the
fact that this deals ALOT more damage to your opponent than 1 or 2
SMG’s do and if both guns are reloading press the B button to melee
your opponent which will finish them off.
When playing a game of double team you will have 1 team-mate. It is best
to stay with your team mate so if the other team are just wondering off
by their self you you and your team-mate will surely take your opponent
down with no struggle at all. If you opponent starts to run away from
you at the start of the game ask him to stick together and hopefully
he/she will.

When you are being shot at from behind, continue running forward throw a
grenade at a wall next to you, turn and shoot while running backwards.
Your bullets will lower there shield and they will keep on you and run
into the grenade ultimatly dieing. You may die too but you will take
them out with you.

  1. if playing on maps with two bases direcly across from each other on CTF like Beever Creek
and Coagulation, have a sniper, or someone with a strong weapon like rockets or
something like that to follow/protect you. Its realy good when you have the flag or if you
don’t have a realy good weapon because with the flag, you can’t do any real damage
besides close range, so have someone protect you until you make it back, you don’t want
to get lucky make it back to the base and have someone melee you in the back and
    assasinate you.
  1. If you are a player who likes to snipe, aka, the sniper, try to camp near the sniper spawn.
This is important, because if someone gets the sniper rifle on the other team, its game
over for alot of you. Also, this will help you with getting more ammo also, because you can
just step over a few feet and than you have full ammo for your rifle, and than you can go
    and kill everything that moves.

in a sniper game, get your team to work together, if you work alone
you’ll never get those follow up kills by tracing the contrail back to
the sniper who killed your team meat.
if your playing a BR game on the swamp level, the tree thats raised off
the ground is a great place to hide, if you have someone get ontop of
the tree and to the right and someone in theh hole in the tree.
If your playing a game on midship, stay in one room, and let loose
plasma nades out the sides. If everone can concentrate fire on someone
going up the grav lift, they’ll be dead before they hit the ground. And
if you have the time, then move one of the space crates (non-exploding
variety) into the grav lift THE TALL WAY, if you put it in on its side
then it will just goto the second level. if done right, you’ll only
have to worry about 2 entrances.

On any level where you can fall off the edge, especially Lockout, turn
and throw a grenade, preferably sticky, back up over the edge before
you die. I’ve even gotten lucky enough to stick my friend in the face
and remember hearing his screams right before I died.

For those of you who play Team Snipers a lot, here’s a few tips that may
help you win many matches. Lately Waterworks has been a ppoular map for
Snipers, and everyone’s primal instinct is be the first to the middle
and just try and take out those who come up, but this is the wrong thing
to do. Usually games like this end up being very very close, and this
is not how you want your games to be. Spread your players around
either of the two bases. Have two by the rocket spawn(1 on top, 1 on
bottom), one near the bansee spawn, and one near the left-side caves. Make sure
communication is kept up. Without communication, your team
is nothing. Each team member is responsible for covering another, thus
creating a cycle of protection. The other team is likely to camp the
middle, so the banshee man should watch carefully.

Every so often places should be switched around in order to obscure
your location.

There’s a combo that I think is better than a SMG/Plasma Rifle Combo
(If anyone still uses it). It’s Duel Wielding a human pistol and
either a brute plasma or regular plasma rifle. The Brute plasma is
better because it’s firing rate is faster. It helps because the pistol
has a better range on it than the SMG, and after the enemies shield is
down, 1 or 2 headshots kills them quickly. You just need a quick
trigger finger to make the combo effective.

How to dodge a charged plasma shot thats coming right out at you:
Ok, First, grab two dual-wieldable weapons. Then when someone shoots a charged shots at you, when its about to hit you, press the melee button (b default settings) and chuck away the second weapon. When you chuck away the second weapon, the plasma shot should deflect off the weapon and not hit you. I have tried this many times and it works. A bit impractical to use in matchmaking.

dialpex says you can chuck a grenade at it too

How to get extra ammo into the Battle Rifle:
Make sure you have a full clip. When you come to fire your first shot, tap the reload button and continue firing as normal. When you get to about half clip, you should see that your ammo goos from half, to full without reload animation. It takes some practice to time it right, but its great for Team Hardcore.

  1. when getting a sniper on this map, i find it better for me and my
team to stay at the top of the base. A lot of people go through the
teleporter, but then get owned by a vehicle or something else. when
you are at the base with the sniper, if you are getting shot, you can
drop down, as well as protect your base VERY well.
  1. any game on this map invloves vehicles, so it’s important to rush
rockets. right when the game begins, have someone rush rockets with the
ghost, and then take them back to your base.

Some people don’t belive that the plasma pistol tracks when the reticle
is not red and locked on, but this is not true, the plasma pistol locks
on at a range that is a little more than the game thinks, this also
goes for the needler, though it is used less.

When playing a snipers game, it’s not like a normal game, so there’s no
need to conserve ammo! Don’t go for the near-impossible headshot when
two quick body shots will do.

When driving a Warthog, make sure the gunner does not carry any weapons
of value, as he/she is usually the easiest to kill seperately out of
all the passengers, the same applies for the spectre.

Play team games wtih friends! It is much easier to play with a group of
friends who you have built a playing style with, people who’s talents
you understand, than a player who just ended up in a matchmaking game.

Hey Guys ok When your gonna get run over by a ghost or a woart hog make
the person who is gonna run u over think that he/she will. But here is
what u do well frist make sure u have plasma nades and jump and chuck a
nade at the ghost and it will most likely stick them and not olly will
u live but ull get a kill along with it.

i have a really good general tip
for you. This will work with any weapon. Ok, so when the fight gets
close and you have to use a meelee crouch, shoot at them, and when
they get close enough start whacking them while your sttill crouching.
Since your crouching your hits will be easier while tthey will miss
and not be as effective. I have killed many swords guys close range
like this. Once you get it down you will be beating people down
without shields!

I also have a good tip for BRs thats kind of like the firstt one. Ok,
when you are playing witth BRs and tthe battle gets close again
(within 4 feet of your enemey)duck, while ducking aim up and shoot thhem once
in the head, hit them, then stand up and shoot or hit them once and they
should be dead. This only works when thhey are running towards you. But it is very effective
when you master it.

one of the things i reccomend for people to get better is to make sure
your proficcient in most of t he common starting weapons aka the smg,
br, and plasma rifle, etc.

make sure to know how to handle an enemy with a better weapon than you
with only an smg, for example, a player wielding a sword can easily be
beaten by someone with a single smg if they know what their doing, in
close quarters if i run into a sword i try to run around in circles
firing into their head so not only does it blur their vision, you are
moving at all times and cant be lunged at easily.

also, one thing that i’ve noticed is on maps like lockout is when there
is a sniper up high somewhere like the spawn point, you can use double
needlers as an anti sniper weapon, just fire half a clip of each and
then get behind cover before they reach their target and it keeps you
safe and the sniper explodes before he knows what’s happening.

Keeping Level:
Truly, cheating is a very big problem. When it comes to the mass cheating population on Xbox Live it almost makes it impossible to play on weekend and weeknights. I have found that when you reach level 28-35 the best times to play are from 2-6 p.m. (EST)
And play in parties of 2-3 gamers. This takes out you getting stuck with lower level people and you always play better with people you know.

Host Advantages:

-Grenade Jumping (the host can jump longer distances by tossing a
grenade and jumping over it as it explodes
-Increased Damage (host usually wins in a Battle Rifle duel, even if
the same amount of ammo is used and the same spots are hit on each
others bodies)
-Increased Auto-Aim (counts especially for Rockets, Sniper, and Battle
Rifle)
-Noob Combo is more useful because you have the fastest connection (not
like thats a good thing)

Host Disadvantages:

-When facing a player with host, when you throw a Plasma grenade at
them or try to melee them, sometimes the stickies bounce off or the
melee doesnt “register”
-The host cannot do certain superbounces or “get out of” some levels
(which can be a good thing) -Occasionaly when facing the host in a battle, a shot doesnt
register,
even though blood is smeared all over the wall. very annoying in
shotgun games.
-Sometimes when you charge up your Plasma Pistol, the green glow
disappears and you have to charge it up again
Players will sometimes abuse host to Standby or Mod.

for all those noobs out there who where wondering how to get BUNGIE.NET
next to you name just go to bungie.net, make a profile using your
gamertag, go to “my settings”, then go to “web settings”, and then turn
“show bungie.net user status in halo 2” “on”.

Ok, first of all, the worst thing to o is go into Team Slayer alone.
Make sure you have at least 1 person in your party that you are
confident you will do good with. Second of all, Box Host is always good
for higher levels to prevent mods. Also, beware of boosters. If you’ve
been boosted off of once, wait a few minutes before you go back into
matchmaking. Also, Team Duels is becoming a big gametype in TS. Make
sure you get the SMG Plasma Rifle combo, that thing owns. During TS BR
stay together, thats the key. Pick off targets one by one. Also, on
Elongation, TS BR. Some one should be at one ramp as to BR head shot
people from across the map. I have gotten a triple kill from this. I
have more, but i don’t want to take up your time.

Map of the Month: Coagulation

Team Slayer/FFA Slayer

Tip of the Month

::Important Web Resource::
This is the list of all the weapon and power-up respawn times for all
the maps. Weapons and power-ups (overshield and camouflage) all respawn
on a timer. But its not as simple as that. In every level there are
weapons that are special because they don’t come back if a player has
them. For example, the Sword on every level does not respawn if a
player has it. The same goes for the Sniper Rifle on Lockout and
Coagulation.

::Intro::
Map control is very important on Coagulation. The two Sniper Rifles are
considered power weapons, thus they don’t respawn if a player is
holding them. A team with both snipers and rockets can and will dominate on the
map. I call this Complete Map Control.

::Slayer::
FFA slayer is not a good idea for Coag if you’re intending to play a
serious game. Even Team Slayer is a bad idea; a team with Complete Map
Control won’t have a hole in their defense and will never be taken out.
You may take out one player, but you’ll be BRed [sic], rocketed [sic],
or sniper by the others. And don’t even bother driving those now
useless vehicles.

::Final Tips::
I stress this with all of my friends. Use your mics; communicate. If
you make sure all of your teammates are aware of what is going on, who
has rockets, who has the sniper, who has power-ups, and if the
power-ups have respawned, you’re sure to do well (unless all of you
can’t aim straight).

Also, use those power-ups and if you’re in enemy territory crouch-walk
so you won’t be detected. Avoid talking as well; the proximity speak
still works.

Slayer:

There are Sniper Rifles located at the top of both bases next to the
teleporters on the right side. Use them well. Also, there are Shotguns
Located in rock formations right ourside the bases along with more
sniper ammo. The n00b combo is ewasy here, plenty of plasma weps makes
it easy, except over medium and long ranges, its useless.

Team Slayer:

A Well coordinated attack here must include vehicles and the Sniper.
The best vehicle is the Banshee, that sits under each base. The
Worthogs are also good vehicles. Sometimes Wraiths appear, if they
do,use them! (NOTE: Wraiths only appear on certain gametypes) The
Sniper will be THE MOST valuable wepaon here for Team Slayer. Get your
best Sniper with it and let him start the pwnage!

You either need a vehicle, or the rockets! Or a bunch or stickys!
Get the sniper if you can and a shotgun or brute shot never hurn
either. Also, take advantage of the camo and overshields in the rocks
and the caves! Take a look in all the rocks…

My tip for Coagulation is to always rush the other teams sniper at the
beginning of each game. Do this no matter what. Load up in a warthog
and go straight to their base and get their sniper. Don’t worry about
getting the bomb in neutral bomb right off the start because you will
usually always just die and blow up your warthog.

Also make sure to never lose your sniper and if you have your team’s
sniper, never go to far away from your own base, NO MATTER WHAT. If you
what to snipe the other team at their base, then get their team’s
sniper. Make sure that you always have contraol of at least one sniper,
or else your team has a lot less of a chance of winning that game.

Tip-Coag-Team Slayer-BTB,6v6,

First off in order to win in any slayer game you have to work together
as a team. After your initial spawn of the game everyone must gather
into a group dont be running off alone..Try to get the power weapens of
the map atleast 1 sniper and rockets if you can get it..and then just
camp in one area of the map..The teleport exit in front of the cave is
a good place for the reason it is right at rocket ammo and is close
enuff to the sniper ammo..this area is also good for if you dont have
control of rockets and they have all the vechiles running around after
you..if they follow you into the cave then it is a close encounter
where they have less movability and easily destroyed with your whole
team in the area..even if you are losing in the game just stay together
and use your numbers to over power your opponents..this tip works for
just about any map for slayer..just keep your cool and you will be just
fine

Snipers own Coagulation, but only at cirtain distances, remember, a
sniper rifle is a long range weapon, but if an enemy is so far away
that you need to mail the bullets to them, don’t shoot, it will most
likely miss.

Communicate, you have the headset for a reason, even if your allies are
not talking, you can still give them info even if they are giving you
nothing.

Also for Coag, remember having the rockets is a two for one deal, you
get access to all the vehicles and the rockets themself, that is,
unless you are playing a Human Slayer game, In human slayer games the
brute shots on cliffs are rocket launchers.

Hey podtacular, i have an assualt tip for Coagulation. Ok first off
grab the bomb and head to the other base (obviously). Once you get
there walk up the walk way and gett on the base. Then get the rest of your team to charge into
the base through the sides. While the opposing
team is trying to take out your team you drop through the glass
window and arm tthe bomb.

ok well i have a good tip for the sniper. First make sure the best
person at sniping on your team gets the sniper rifle. then the sniper
should get the ammo by the shotgun in front of the base. Then the
sniper should go to the cave on the side of the map. From there on He
should look for the opposing sniper and kill him. Then your sniper
should inform someone on your team to go and retrieve the gun. Then you
have both snipers and you basiclly own the map.

1.- Get the banshee its unstopable and is great for any gametype
espcially CtF is gets to your base faster! 2.- Hold Y when you aproach a vehicle that is driven by
an enemy like
warthogs, ghosts,or banshees its kinda hard but it works most of time 3.- Get the Dual SMG
combo or the plasma PISTOL/ SmG COMBO ITS KINDA
nooby but it works and when YOure playing Ctf have half of your team
defending and half of your team going for the flag like the attcking
team can ascend through the ramps and the sides and the top it
Overwhelmes the Enemy

oh and one last thing BoW ChiKa Bow WOw
keep on fraging!

Team Slayer: Find a base. Stck with it. Make them come to you. ‘Nuff
said.

the perrfect sniper spot is on the side on the mountain opposite to the
cave near the blue base a little “balcony” like spot with coverr. it is
only accessable by banshee. it is perfect to sniper there until now
becaue now everyone will look there.

if you play this than just get sniper and get like on the right side of
anybase and camp and then when you get a head shot just randomly say
“SO sCOPE!!!111”

if you do nto have snipe just drive around in the puma(warthog) and
pick up random people oh and watch out for rocks.

with this stragtie the opossing team will bow down and say we arwe not
worthe!!!

always always make sure that you know what the hell a so scope is okay and no l337

Well in BTB on this map the most action usually takes place in the first
30 seconds when each team rushes the rockets. Usually the ghost will zip
ahead and attempt to go at the rockets and the hog will show up a little
later. I usually hop on the banshee and rush middle also giving my ghot
and hog good air support. If the enemys rush works out and they get
rockets ill still float around and get the rocket guy to waste at least
2 rockets at me when I barrel roll and loose them. Now that he has to
reload its good to use this time to fill him full of plasma.

Another strategy in assault is takeing advantage of a glitch where the
bomb guy stands infront of the rocks infront and to the left of the
base (If viewed from roof of base) and hitting him with the warthog. If
done correctly the bomb guy will fly all the way to the enemy base where
he can start arming and make the enemies totally go “WTF!”.

In the lower levels of BTB the other team usually leaves a few team
mates in their base for defense (In the higher levels everyone usually
goes out on their own). They some times like to head begind the walls
to the left or right of the flag spot and can be easily takin out with
a few frags bounced off the wall.

the number one thing on a map this big esspecially with assault or
capture the flag is to stay together. many times in match makeing if
you can get your team to be a TEAM you can win. also travel along the
walls this provides more cover in the caves rocks and trees keeping
your team alive hidden and safe from the threat of snipers

also master the battle rifle its a very common weopon on coagulation
and is great for hitting the opposing team first and before they get a
chance to hit u

also just because the warthog and ghost are fast and get to the other
base fast, many times they will die before any one else can get there
leaveing you warthog less and spread out as the half team gets to base
while the half in the ghost and hog respawn. try haveing the hog and
ghost go slow with the people on foot so you all get there at once,
haveing the hog and ghost as suppersion fire while otheres get flag or
plant bomb.

also bring the sniper along before you go in have the sniper clear it
out.

a good defence is not as nesicary as you need only 1 maybe 2 people on
it. a guy with a shot gun and stickys is plenty.
keep your team informed if you walk into a group of eneimys that you
cant beat tell your team where they are what there useing and where
there going.

and again i say work as a team you are NOT rambo and forward slash or the terminator

Coag Tips:
If you are going to snipe, get somewhere up high. If you don’t, your prey could easily duck
under a hill.

On any gametype, rush for rockets, not only are they a liability in the other teams hands, but
they make for a wicked defense.

Don’t bother w/ the powerups in the caves.

If you have two people, and only a ghost or banshee, ride on the hood! The hood rider stands
on the hood, and walks forward while the driver boosts. It takes some getting used to, so
practice.

First off is that you should never stop moving :). When you start out
first try to go to the rocket laucher. I find that if I am fast enough,
I get to the ghost and boost towards the rocket launcher. Almost
everyone then comes on vehicles to the rocket launcher. Next just fire
away, its an easy kill. Try to get there as fast as you can, it always
helps to spawn near the ghost if you are lucky. Also always go on the
sides near the rocks and caves, if not you are a sitting duck.

Warthogs are
obviously good to run back each base and back right? Well what happens
if your being chased? Take the warthog to the little niche in the cliff
which is right next to upper tunnel. Its the part where the cliff meets
the grass on a slight ridge. Well, jump over it, get out of the
hog(Make sure the person chasing you is at least 2 seconds away). Wait
for the sound of the engine to come close and jump. The warthog will
zoom by and you simply have to board it and run. Its that simple!

COAG, is a very annoying map for TS and TS BR. For
these gametypes, you MUST STAY TOGETHER. Working as a team here is key.
Concentrate your firepower on one target and pick people off one by
one. Its better that way. They get overwhelmed with bullets and grenandes.
Also, make sure you grab sniper and rockets on this map. They can turn
the whole game around. Also beware of the snipers that take a banshee
up to the nook. The nook is on one of the walls of COAG. These are all
the tips I can give you without dragging on.

Take the sniper on any game type and you can rack up easy kills. Hide
behind on of the rocks at the teleport if you’re blue team, or if
you’re red team, the sunny side rocks provide a huge challenge for most
vehicles and even some infantry. The best combo for the sniper is the
shotgun/sniper combo. This combo will make you extremely deadly for
long-short ranges (for meduim, use ‘nades). I once took this combo and
got a berserker (the game ended before I got any higher). People can’t
tell if you’re in scope zoom view or not so every once-in-a-while, go
out of zoom mode and look at your radar. If you see (a) red dot(s)
then don’t switch to your shotgun just yet (let the poor fool think
your still sniping so he’ll go for an assasination) once youe think
he’s close, switch to your shotgun and let ‘im have it! This worked
countless times for me and most times before i beat the sucker down, I
hear them say “MODDER MODDER YOU FUC$ING MODDER!!!” It’s way too
easy.

CTF/Assault

Tip of the Month, continued

::CTF/Assault::
The Rocket Launcher is very important. At the beginning of the match,
you should rush the rocket launcher (and bomb if Assault). Every second
counts. You get there first, pick up the RL and with at least two
teammates’ help, you take out the opposing players (which usually
consists of their Warthog, Ghost, and/or Banshee). You can immediately
create a hole in their defense and rush their base for a guaranteed
flag capture (or bomb plant). This can backfire if you’re not too
careful. The enemy can take out your team instead and leave your team
at a disadvantage, but regardless it wouldn’t be wise to allow the
other team to rush the middle and just pick up the Rocket Launcher (and
bomb if assault).

The Warthog is important. Any time after the beginning of the match, be
careful with using your Hog. Make sure you communicate with your
teammates, so you’re aware of who has which weapons such as the warthog
destroying Rocket Launcher. For defending a base (in either objective
game), Complete Map Control works beautifully. You barely have to work
at all. Just make sure you keep picking up the Sniper Rifle ammunition
in front of your base (at the rocks where the Shotgun spawns). And
rocket ammo is constantly respawning by both red and blue team
teleporters.

Here’s one tip I love doing on CTF gametypes. I call it the paratrooper
tactic ;) :
First, fill your teammates in on the plan. Have them get a warthog and
ghost and wait outside of the base, ready to help you out or grab the
flag if you happen to die. Then, you take the banshee, quickly fly over their base, and
press X to
get out, falling right in through that hole in the roof.
Then, catching them by surprise (yeah that’s right, surprise has two
r’s), you grab the flag and run down through the little hole to
underneath, where you have your teammmates waiting to help you out.
From there you can hop into the warthog and drive away, with the person
in the ghost covering you.

In a Assualt/CTF game you can drop the bomb/flag under the level, to do
this you can either do it at Blue or Red Base. It’s not that useful
unless in neutral flag and you have the lead. Take the item and go near
the little door near the banshee port, there should be a whitish pillar
next to the door on the right, go in the corner of it, between the door
and pillar, and keep on dropping the item until it is below the map.
Only host can pick it up over again, although it will return unless
someone contests it. Keep up the good work Podtacular.

(This works especially well if you spawn at the Blue Base since it’s
closest to the Rocket Launcher.) Have one of your team mates grab the
Ghost and get the Rocket Launcher and hide in the rocks with it as soon
as the match begins, then have the other three people (assuming its 4v4)
wait in the Warthog inside the small cave near your base. Then after the
opposite teams Warthog comes rushing into your base to take your flag,
let them think there gonna score. And while the other team is in your
base wondering where the hell everyone is, have your team start heading
towards their base. Then when the other team comes arould the corner out
of your base blow the crap out of them from the rocks. All while the
rest of the team kills the one guy left to guard the other base, giving
your team an early score.

Hey Podtacular, I have a tip for all the Halo fans/geeks. When playing
in Coagalation in a game of team CTF or Assault, dont use a warthog
when getting to the base. Instead, take the paths on the sides
(especially the rocks!) 8 out of 10 times you we reach the base, then
your on your own.
Another tip. During the same games as before, make distractions, 2 men
running up the middle will draw the opposing team’s attention, giving a
man running up that side a better chance at getting to the base.

Last tip, in CTF, make sure the flag man has at least 2 body guards. 3
men are alot more effective than 1 lone guy.
Thanks for your time and Woodchippas rule

Assault Tips

-Offence-

The stupidest thing to do if on offence is to RUSH the bomb carrier
along the canter of the map in a HOG. Because most likely the defenders
have sent a ghost to get the rockets and you will get POWNED before you
even get near the other base. You have already wasted a hog and
valuable time retrieving it. What you want to do is send a member of
your team to get the sniper located on the top of the base, he then
goes through the tele-porter The defensive noob should be rushing the
rocket and will be an easy shot to a good sniper. Meanwhile another
member of your team will have the bomb and travelling through the caves
with a Body guard he should pick up the noob from the pack of the base
and a BR from the top of the base. The one remaining player should jump
in a SHEE and fly over to there and try to take out the vehicles and
stray players Most important there sniper, they wont have rockets so
don’t worry about that this also works as a distraction so the bomb
carrier and his Body guard can sneak in to the other base Hopefully if
everything works to plan it should be a successful round.

-Defence-

What you should do is the same at the start as when you are on offence
is get the sniper from the top of the base and rush through to POWN the
rocket noob. Head and get the rockets and the vehicle the offensive guy
left behind, rush to the base and give the rockets to another member of
ya team and have him camp where the bomb is armed to blow them the hell
up if they get this far. The sniper should then get on the top of the
base and Snipe the noobs and watch them fall. The other to members of
the team can drive around in ghosts and do what they like, Follow these
tips and you should have a successful bomb game.

CTF -This is by far one of the most effective strategies i know in
Coag. It’s a CTF strategy that if done correctly is a guaranteed score.

When the game starts load up the Warthog with 3 guys. Drive straight to
the other team base and park it on the right side of their base (sniper
side) have the gunner and passenger get out while the driver goes
towards the rocks and the teleport are and park there and wait.
Meanwhile the gunner and the passenger will go on top of their base and
one guy will drop in to grab the flag and toss it to the guy still on
top. He then will quickly go through the teleport and get on the Hog
that was parked there waiting for him. If you still have your ghost
place the ghost on top of their Teleport to avoid them from coming
through it. This is an awesome strategy that is very effective if done
correctly.

ASSAULT -This is another great tip for this map. It’s an assaoult
tip. But in order to execute this one the attacking team will need both
snipers. Have each of the snipers placed on a diagonal angle from their
base, enough so that they can cover each other and at the same time so
each one can see one side of the base. Have one guy sit on top of the
base (This is the important guy. He will prevent the other team from
spawning inside of the base. That way they will all spawn outside and
the snipers will easly take them out. And the last guy is the guy that
will carry the bomb. Back and forth as it’s armed and planted. Try to
place a ghost on their teleport near the rocks so that they wont come
from behind and kill one of the snipers but if this is done correctly
you will have BR cover for the back of the base, Sniper cover for the
sides and the bomb guy can now walk freely back and forth with the
bomb.

On coagulation (or any other map with a banshee) have the bomb carrier
jump on the top of the banshee and send the warthog as a decoy. To get
the bomb carrier on the banshee have the banshee pilot hald A, but no
direction and have the bomb carrier jump on the top of it, after they
are on top let go of A and slowly move forward (that means no boost)
and ascend at a shallow angle and have the bomb jump of into the base
and arm the bomb. Bye the way I’m waiting for that friend request Foo
Mo.

Hey guys, Ive got some good tips for coagulation starting with ctf.
What me and my bro like to do is get in a warthog with only us two in
it, drive quickly to the other teams base, then drop off 1 person at
the left side of enemy base. Then all they have to do is run in a
straight line through the enemys base while grabbing the flag and have
the warthog wait on the right side under the ramp. Then you just step on
it and take em back to base, and repeat process. Also, for sniping, I
like to first grab the sniper, then jump off the roof and into the
shotgun place, grab the shotgun and sniper ammo and stay near the base.
Im good at sniping people out of vehicles so i can take out the enemy
warthog easily then Iwould just go about mid way across and snipe from
there.

CTF:

VEHICLES, VEHICLES, VEHICLES! These will be your best frineds here.
Take advantage of the shotguns and the Brute Shot, located up on a
ledge.

Assualt:

Take the bomb guy in a vehicle! He will be easy pickings if you don’t!
Also, either get the caves yourselves, or stay out of them! The Sniper
will only help mildly here. Use the shotgun instead, or some BRs.

CTF/Assault. When you start out, have 3 people in the warthog, one in
banshee, one in ghost, one sniper, and 2 to guard your flag. The
warthog goes and gets the rocket and storms the base. The ghost and the
banshee destroys the other teams vehicles and then circles the base to
distract the other team. The sniper goes though the warp, takes out
there sniper, and continually irritates the other team. One of the two
guarding your base will stay inside with smg/plasma rifle combo, while
the other one goes and gets the over-shield. I know this sound a little
complicated, but if done right this should work every time.

Something that often happens in CTF and assault games on Coagulation,
is everyone jumps in a vehicle, goes to the middle, and spends the next
minute or two just trying to knock out the other team’s vehicles, all
the while trying to get rockets and secure the other teams sniper, etc.
Something important that can be done is simply to have the warthog
from either base go a little before the ghost, almost as somewhat of a
distraction, while sending the banshee to go preoccupy the other
banshee, and send the ghost last. Note that the ghost should only wait
an extra five seconds or so more; the point of this is to make all
ground forces on the other team focus on the banshee and warthog, so
that the ghost can ride in, and get rockets. This way, the ghost
driver won’t have to worry as much about being run over by the other
team’s ghost, or gunned down on the way in by the warthog. The
rocketer then can take out the other team’s vehicles, and much of the
rocketers team is already in the middle, ready to make a full, (and
strong), assault on the other team’s base.

CTF/Assault: In Neutral Bomb/Flag, wait until the smoke clears in the
beginning of the game. In Multi/One Flag, Send out one Ghost, one two
person (or full) Warthog, and one walking person. When the Ghost gets
to the flag, then the Warthog will be there to pick him up, if they
die, then use the spare. If the Warthog dies, then take the walking
person to get the flag. Usually though, it isn’t a strategy, it just
happens, but works better if it is a coordinated team. In Assault, do
the same thing, but wait some time after launching the Warthog, and
take out the Ghost.

whenever playing a CTF, Assualt and know you suck at
that game grab a sniper (keep in mind that this works on both sides red
and blue) and head to the back of the red base. Stand behind on of the
rocks and be the spotter, this alows you to tell your teamates where
they are because that info is good to know. Also you can snipe anyone
who gets to close to the base, you can help your team so much but you
yourself do almost nothing. One last thing I only know this on red
base, I would know on blue but I almost get red all of the time. Thanks
for listening.

if you have the flag and in the passanger seat have the driver drive full speed and
HOLD X to get out and go flying at the base. You might want to get out
at about 50 feet from the base or else you will go past the base.

Buttrush their base in a CTF game. Hopefully, you can take the flag while they are away
getting the good weapons.

Never leave the base unattended (Duh!). Always have someone covering every way in and
out.

Never steal the flag alone. I like to grab the flag, and throw it up to a teammate on top
of the base, so he can take it and teleport out of there. You could even have a hog
waiting at the other end if you wish.

In a CTF game on Coag whether or not it is a multi flag or if you’re
attacking. When the game first starts have 2 people get in the hog, 3
if you have enough and rush towards the enemy base avoiding all the
enemies on the way there. Have someone grab banshee and boost all the
way to the enemy base and drop in from the top, which is what me and my
friends and a lot of other people call a banshee drop. Don’t forget to
have the ghost guy rush rockets. This is the key part if the get the
rockets to soon the plan fails when you hog gets blown up, you MUST
prevent the enemy from getting rockets or take them away or distract
them or something. OK, so if all went well you have a hog and a banshee
at their base and a ghost guy fighting for rockets. Banshee guy grabs
the flag and gets out of the base make sure the banshee guy
communicates where he is going to the driver of the hog to pick him up
either out the back or front, which ever is best. Drive back to your
base to score the flag. Relay information with your team about where
rockets are and any enemy vehicles; try to stay away from anything like
that and also where the enemy sniper is. Many time you will be driving
back it a straight line for the base and you passenger goes down from a
head shot from the sniper leaving you speeding away from the flag, NOT
GOOD. If the get rockets the plan won’t work out so well try your best
to get them. It also helps if whoever grabs sniper to teleport and
snipe anybody going for rockets to help the ghost guy. This should be a
quick way to get a fast score and put you in the lead in the beginning
of the game. This takes advantage of the disarray of the enemy at the
beginning of the game when they are all grabbing weapons and vehicles.

on assult if your on the red team get the warthog and
have the bomb guy line up t the left side of the farthest rock to the
left where the shot gun is at than have your teamate drop his handicap
to severe and them have him run into you the bomb guy will than fly all
the way across the level and into the blue base it doesnt always work
but when you perfec it it is golden.

KOTH/Territories

King Of The Hill:

Get the Shotgun and sniper or brute shot and sniper +/or grenades and
your good to go! Also a good vehicle will help transport you from tyhe
hill spots on moving hill games!

im a n00b so u might already know
this but hiding in king of the hill is a great way to win the game
hide behind trees and rocks on maps with those things and crouch caus
ppl wont see u. it works great on gemini… there is a rock at the far
side of the energy sword in the back, where the hill just goes around
the rock so u can hide and crouch there… works great on backwash with
all the trees 2
