Long time ago

dabenny17

hi its dabenny17,
cortana is an annoying level and has always been. the best way to get
through this level with least deaths is to stay stealthy. you will find
cloaking almost everytime, after every battle. once clearing a room full
of flood, search the area for a cloaking power up. then when you come to
your next fight you can use the cloaking to sneak past the flood and even
collect another cloaking even though the flood havn’t been defeated. just
keep doing this and after collecting cortana from her B & B room, there
will again be a cloaking waiting for you when you re-appear from the room.
use it to lower the towers and then use the brute shot to own and pwn. then
all you have to do is run, and run untill you find the abitur, who will be
trying to be Arnold Schwarzenegger with his flame thrower. run past him
and get into the pelican.
nice job with the podcast, and for those who have never seen the hunter’s
anus armor heres a link to my magical moment of spanking it. http://www.bungie.net/stats/halo3/screenshot_viewer_popup.aspx?ssid=32176849
keep on fragging trucks!!!

azn_dude1

I would suggest playing this level on co-op because the Arbiter spawns with
a sword which, on Legendary, kills any Flood in one hit, except for the
Flood Elites, who die in two. If you’re looking for the meta-game
achievement on 2 player co-op, then do it on Normal with the following
skulls: Catch, Tough Luck, Thunderstorm, Fog, and maybe Mythic. If you’re
just doing 1 player, which I don’t suggest, then do it on Normal with 2 or
3 of the aforementioned skulls on. With 3 or more people, it just gets
hectic and you might not be able to get the achievement unless one person
just stays behind so the other people can respawn. I don’t suggest
grabbing a flamethrower for obvious reasons, a sword will do fine. When
you get to the room where you have to destroy the 3 thingamabobbers, just
grab a Brute Shot and shoot some grenades at the thingamabobbers. You
don’t need to get up close to do it. If any Flood come at you, make sure
they don’t knock you off th edge.

Now I know this may seem like a really simple tip, but it can get
overlooked so easily. Always, always, always have a plasma rifle on hand.
It’s very easy to kill the flood with plus its easy on the ammunition.
Make sure you use burst fire as it doesn’t take many shots to kill them.
The cool thing about the plasma rifle is that you don’t need to reload it.
That means more time killing the stupid flood and less time hiding to
reload just to get owned by those freaking exploding little bugs. Also,
make sure to have a friend with you if possible to help or just hide as
this level is VERY challenging if you are trying to play it on legendary
or even for some people, heroic. Maybe have a friend hide so you can
respawn after your inevitable death. Hope my tips helped,Thanks.

gunny13

Hi this is giddyforrest118, this is my first time submiting. Anyway my tip
for this level is simple get a shotty or a sword and just run this works
on all difficultys, shout out to my girlfriend Amber, I love you, thanks
for the great show, keep on fragging trucks!

Hey this is my first submission. Ok so lets get into the nitty gritty,
shall we? On the last level one of the hardest encounters is at the very
top when you have to hold of the groups of the flood. First grab the
deployable sentinal lasers and eject it out in the center of the floor.
Now, this part depends on your play style, I grab a spyker because it has a
great melee attack. The spyker can take out the pure walking forms in 4
hits with this on legendary. But for all those ballistic crazy spartans I
would use a needler. They are easy to come by and whenever they explode,
they will push your enemies away from you if it dosen’t kill them. Now back
to the level, the Arbiter will use his sword of plasma goodness to help
take out those pesky brute forms. If you are low on shields, duck behind a
wall. If you are super lazy you can hide and defend your self in a corner
for about 20 min. If you are ever low on ammo use your spyker blades to
knock the living daylights out of your enemy. After a while of these hectic
battles. Sgt. Johnson will come to the rescue. Congrats, by this time you
have completed this section and you are on to fight guilty spark. I would
like to give a shout out to daxter unlimited, rouge 119, azn dude1, white
lite, and basic instinct9, see you guys and all the rest of podtacular on
xbox live. Keep on fraggin those foods with ecoli. stallmeplease, out.

Mr Smite62

Hey there guys, this is Mr Smite62 (that’s my gamertag too) with my
second submission. Both stages- Cortana and Halo- have the Flood in them,
so here are some tips to easily pwn the vile creatures then some in-depth
hints for the two levels:

For easily killing flood, there are a few pretty simple strategies: Blades chop up the infected monsters with ease. Use the Energy Sword or
Brute Shot (melee) for an easy kill/weakening. Whenever a big, fat,
disgusting pouch one waddles close to you (the one holding the little
parasite flood) just stick it with a plasma or spike and all of the
parasites that would most of the time fly at you will die because of the
splash damage of the grenade. the big one that sometimes takes two swipes
on a a sword to kill will also resist sticks. They will weaken but not
kill (also a funny little glitch: if you do stick them they will sometimes
be flying a couple feet above the ground but still look like they are still
standing) . I always say to my friends in Campaign, “The scariest enemy is
a flood with a gun.” Not many flood will but some will equip a(n) SMG or
plasma rifle. there are sometimes the turret-firing Flood that will spit a
“snot” (ewwwww haha) looking plasma-dart-bullet-burst-energy-thingy. I
HATED this version of Flood on my last journey to Cortana because my
carbine/BR would never hit from a well distance while running through the
Biomass-filled hallways. I recommend slowly progressing towards the
monster, taking cover occasionally to recharge shields. Also, on the “most
human shaped” Flood keep a BR for headshots. The unique thing about Flood
is that their brains/life/whatever is located at their chests/stomachs. I
cannot tell where exactly, but just “probe” in the area with it and you’ll
find it. Keep this in mind for meta-game scoring. I know this is weird,
but the Flood can infect the dead bodies of Elites, marines, brutes, and
other Flood forms again to rise from the dead in a disgusting manner. whenever you aren’t in combat, melee the dead bodies of the Flood so that
they split into smaller pieces so that they cannot re-form again. Some
will not blow up into pieces, but the screech of the dead Flood is so
satisfying afterword.

Phew, well, here’s some tips for Cortana. When you first spawn (ew i
got some on ma shoe) spartan will always spawn with a shotgun and the
elites will with energy swords. Use them to your advantage. Both are
exellent against the Flood. Most the most part you will be walking in some
tight quarters battling all of the forms of Flood (also, can some someone
shout out the official names of the forms? (parasite, very small, small,
big pouch one, hulking one, spider, snot) i want to call them something
other than “that snot monster guy”) and being lagged repeatedly by Cortana
and her drunk flood buddy. When at the pelican (also where you have to
return to at the end of the level so keep a relative description of its
location) there is a rocket launcher you can use to wipe out the higher
versions of the monster. i sometimes don’t pick it up because i keep my
carbine/BR for excessive ammo and my shotgun/sword. but i guess you could
use it temporarily until it runs out then run back to your first weapon. there is one skull on this level: in the covenant stuff looking room with a
couple grav hammers jump onto one of the peg outjutting from the base and
look for a biomass-covered ledge. Jump onto it and keep looking for
similiar ledges until you climb to a platform with the skull on it (i can’t
explain it good but someone on the forums or someone on the interent
probably can explain it better). for scoring (if you are spartan) at the
beginning kill arbiter for his sword and (if he is P2) let him have your
shotgun. Since its at the start of the game you won’t get a point penalty
(since you have 0 duh) and recieve points fast. STAY AWAY FROM THE
PARASITE FORM IN BATTLE. while not in battle don’t waste your ammo
shootin’ the little things. let them hit you so they die but if she are
too many start retreating to recharge shields. While in battle, (if you
do) have your partner keep an assault rifle or plasma rifle to destroy the
parasites. they will only weaken you while fighting. It’s okay to let
someone else kill them too, because they are worth no points. Note: While
in the part after rescuing Cortana, watch your step and lightly land on
each platform and melee it and stay out of combat. this will keep you from
having an embarassing fall to your death. (my friend also told me there is
a secret terminal on this level so if you grab it then continue to Halo
immediately after it you will spawn with a spartan laser. Other than that,
there are no terminals on this stage).

Now Halo is more of my level. Pretty cool ending, at least. When
you spawn you get a AR/PR and a RL/FRG (if you don’t continue immediately
from Cortana. You will spawn with the weapons you had when you completed
the previous stage) and turn around and grab a BR from the wreckage behind
you for your AR/PR. Walk through the caves and headshot the first Flood
that spawns with a Grav Hammer. Argue about who gets it with your friends
and continue climbing the tower. on the first level of it there will be a
flamethrower you can use to burn the resistance to ash (note: higher
difficulties will make the “torch” less efficient as the Flood start
charging you as they get lit ablaze and set you on fire as well. Look
out!). at the top you will get betrayed by GuiltySpark again (well, THAT’S
a surprise) and Johnson will die. Oh boo-hoo. Okay, you’re done crying. After the cutscene (and start of Rally Point Alpha) the ice outside will
have fallen to make a path for you to get to the other side of the big
chasm thing. Kill some more Flood and now Sparky’s minions, the sentinels,
and plow through until…..THERE!! JOHNSON’S WARTHOG! DRIVE CHIEF!!!!!!
Cortana’s right. DRIVE. i don’t know how to really help on the driving
part, just keep looking in front of you for exploding panels and ramps. Listen for Cortana too, she will give you how much % you have completed in
the flaming madness. look out for big floods of Flood (haha nice pun there
huh) parasites because there is a chance that they will crawl under your
vehicle and tip you or make you lose control of driving. Note: if you
detour to the right of Johnson’s Warthog you will come across a mongoose. For those people who like risking their lives for thrills. If you do this
on legendary, when you exit the tower a(some) ghost(s) will spawn under the
staircase closeby to get to the top of the tower. I heard there is some
Choppers but i haven’t found them before. For scoring you will basically
get all of your points from killing the Flood while climbing the tower. If
you don’t have 15,000 after defeating Spark, you have a problem. You
probably died too much. Note: See the spider Flood climbing that pole
advancing into the tower? that is a reminder that (i hear this as a rumor)
that the longer you stay fighting flood climbing the tower, the more that
will spawn to stop you. If you huf the right wall into the caves at the
beginning of the level you will find the skull too:Mythic. When you reach
those weird pillars in the caves too turn around to look backward at where
you came and strafe left. there is a pillar leant foward to walk along to
the last Terminal. Also, check out my File share for a film of an easter
egg in this area.

I know some people think the Flood are disgusting, but I appreciate
Bungie’s animation and creativity with the Flood: The Biomass-infected ship
and High Charity… All very cool and interesting.

Shout out to a submitter from episode 151: referring to the fuel rod
as FRC: FRC stands for fuel rod cannon. You cannot equip the CANNON. the
official name is the GUN. FRG. The FRC is used on the scarab tank,
hunters, and anti air wraiths (still unsure of this one). The FRG is used
by players and banshees. I think i maybe have missed one so please tell
me. Sorry i am so picky about the subject it just really bothered me at
the time. keep on truckin’ frags. haha
double points!!!! —Mr Smite62

Uzumaki15

Hey Podtacular, Uzumaki here for some tips for Cortana and Halo.

Ok Cortana: first off you start with a Shotty and AR keep the AR out to deal with the infector that come at you make your way through the level until the first real flood appear switch to your shotty and one-two them (Fire Melee) and look around for a Sword, this is an essential weapon to have on this level since its one hit kill on all flood except for the elites, as you round the corner there will be two carriers walking towards you stick them or frag them and AR the infectors (hint: shooting at a cluster or infectors will cause them all to explode easily remove a lot of those annoying pests). Next above you around the corner will be a large group of combat and normal pure forms slash them down with your sword and pick up the deployable cover which will come in handy later, the next weapon to look for is the PR (plasma rifle) this little underused weapons has its use finally good its projectiles fly straight and will easily take out those pesky ranged pure forms.

Now Fast forward a bit after freeing Cortana head out quickly pick up a bubble shield, a fresh sword, and a Brute Shot, head towards the reactors activate them and run to the front, throw out the Bubble shield and switch to the brute shot, hop in and out of the shield and fire on shot at each of the waypoints, and run slashing down enemies as you go. Once you get back to the area where the skull is start chucking grenades at the end were you came in the first time there are a lot of combat forms that will quickly surround you if you’re not careful. Once clear head for the pelican picking up the rockets as you go (if you can find another sword that would be very helpful) and jump into the pelican. And bam mission complete.

Now for Halo if you continue straight from Cortana you will get the weapons you had when you finished the level if not you start with a rocket launcher and an AR the start of the mission is straight forward get to the tower if you’re playing alone on legendary climbing the tower can be a pain just keep at it. My other tip is on the recommended weapons the Rocket are a necessity for the Guilty Spark battle and a Brute shot is now helpful since there are no energy swords on this level.

Finally Shout outs to Triggerhappypsycho, Hevenly Yeti,Azn-dude and all the other podtac peeps on my friends list. Keep on fraggin’ Midgets that drive the truck that we frag.

Auron62

Hey Podtacular, this is Auron62 a new member with alot of info. Well if
your having a tough time on any setting on cortana or halo try using duel
wield plasma rifles. About a second of duel wield firing will take down one
combat form, it will take down the snipers fairly quickly and the stealth
flood (Odd spider looking thing) will take about the same as the sniper.
The tank however is a whole other story. Keep a heavy weapon with you (EX:
Energy Sword or flamethrower) to take down the tanks. Also please note that
a single headshot will instantly kill a non armored combat form and 4
shots with battle rifle will take down an armored elite flood.

Thats all I got keep on fraggin truck driving midgets that keep on
screaming veto.

(P.S. Skull info here if for some odd reason someone hasn’t submitted
where it is. The tilt skull is in the first room with glass as flooring and
a dead elite with a sword after falling down. now when you are in the
center of the room turn left and you will see this odd object. jump on top
of it and jump on the mushroom like flood objects. keep on jumping on top
of them until you hit some flood like vine. walk across that and the skull
is on top of the entire stage.

Green Bagger

I don’t have much to talk about because I don’t play this level that much, but I’ll try. On Legendary, where the skull is, the pure form that shoots at you will kill you fast and are hard to kill. I think that well placed “Blue Bombs” will get them good. On the bottom floor, there is a Grav. Hammer on a terminal, which (if you have read the books) is a line from a book. The skull is on the very top floor, but someone else will or already has covered it. That all I have, Keep on Frag’in Trucks. Shoot out to Team Woot members from Talking About Games, MVP!, and Steakeater10.

Stevematic

Stevematic here, submitting for the last campaign show. I was with my
friend tony one day playing the last level, Halo. We played it on
legendary, cause that’s how we roll. We were mainly just messing around for
half the time, and trying to find some glitches. We found a lot. One that I
remember very well though, is how to skip about one fourth of the level.
Specifically when you have to climb to the top of the tower to kill guilty
spark. Here’s how it goes, and please note that i am trying to explain this
to the best of my ability:

First, get to the point where you see the flamethrower at the bottom of
the tower. If you are facing towards the end of the walkway to the curve
around the tower, turn around behind you. There will be a ramp leading up to the same elevation of the third floor
of the tower, where that uber battle to get inside takes place. The ramp is
against the wall to the side of everything else. When you climb to the top,
you can either crouch jump, grenade jump, or rocket jump to the other ramp
that leads from the second to the third floor of the tower. Once you get
there you should land on the second floor if not on the third. You should
then get a checkpoint confirming the battle at the top to begin. This makes
it much easier to complete instead of going through each floor killing
flood.
If you need video help of this tactic, I’ll make a walkthrough for it on
my fileshare. Just PM me.
Before I forget, my new Gamertag is Lardbag. Keep on fraggin organic
pianos.

white lite

Hey there, white lite here. on Halo, pick up the BR (special assault rifle) and its a one shot kill for a headshot on flood. it helps out a lot on legendary.

Arbitation

Hey guys, it’s Arbitation here!

O.K. so I have a few tips for Cortana and Halo

1. Cortana:
- If you have a shotgun, great! If you can find a sword, even better!
- Wall crawlers: Needlers are the best for these little critters, or, even
better, a well placed grenade!
- In the part where you drop down through a hole and you are in a purple-y
control-room looking place, on the other side of where you drop down is the
exit, and just to the left of the exit is a hole which leads under the
room. In the center of the room is the hidden termina (not neaded for the
Marathon Man achievment).

2. Halo:
- So yeah, you probably already know this, but the mythic skull is in the
first tunnel on the right. Just stick to the side and look for side
passages.
- When you enter the first open area and a flood ball thingy falls from
the sky, a flood marine form will come out with a gravity hammer. This
will look fun, but don’t get it. The best weapons you can have (in my
opinion) is a Battle Rifle (which works PERFECTLY if you have a steady aim:
HEADSHOTS GALORE!) and a plasma rifle. Grenades are very useful as well,
as with anything else.

And my last tip is for the flood carrier guys with the big fat heads that
explode:
-This tip is really only useful on Heroic and Legendary when the litlle
guys can actually damage you
- You nead a grenade

When you see one of these flood-forms, run up to them and they will fall
over when you get close enough, as they fall, chuck a grenade at them and
jump away. When their head explodes, your grenade should explode as well,
killing all the small flood forms as well!

That’s all from me!

Keep on fraggin’ trucks
-Arby

aadude

Hey guys, just wanted to say that I really like the direction the show is
heading, and I’m proud that our community was able to stick it out through
those “hard” times. Anyways, onto the campaign stories! I believe it was
me, poopinabasket, jaba, and stevematic rocking out on the last level on
legendary trying to get the annual achievement. (the achievement with the 4
ghosts and the jumping and the whatnot…etc) We didn’t have a lot of
trouble with the first part of the level, iron was on mind you, but we got
through a lot of it with some perseverance and some minor hurt feelings.

So we get towards the last part, getting in the ghosts, pimp slapping the
sentinels that were smart enough to get in our way, and then we got on to
the falling panels that you have to get over really fast. This is where it
got ugly. Since there were four guys, and iron turned on there wasn’t a lot
of room for mistakes, but we made a LOT of them. We even got so close to
the end, we saw the last cutscene, but it made us start from the checkpoint
because a certain someone cough(jaba)cough fell off right as we jumped in
the ship.

Anyways, it ended up taking us a very long time. I can’t remember how
long, but I’m guessing it took us about as long as a bad Disney movie. But
we finally got through it and epic cookies and girlfriends were had! Sorry
for the wall of text there, but you asked for more feedback so viola! Keep
up the good work, guys, and Keep on fragging mosquitoes who eat your
cinnamon icicle sausages.

Wipacer

Well sorry about my last send in being a little lost but now Im hoping that
this gets sent to the campain show. first of all you will need needlers
when playing on Ledgendary. Just rember to take cover and play it with 2
people or more and take turns shooting at enemys. Brutes take one mele to
kill hunters take a stick or a slash of the sword and every thing else just
takes time and long ranged wepons. this can be one of the EZ…est map on
ledgendary if you just have a good plan and you each have mics. keep on
fraging PDiddy while he trys to sign this purple alpaca fur cover anus amor
on a dimond studded table with dimond chars and teeth and glasses and his
dimond studded cat siting on his lap.

PoopInABasket

Hey Podtacular!

When dealing with the flood on Cortana remember to keep a good distance
away while shooting Because If you get ganged up by a bunch of flood you
will probably die. Try to play smart exspecially on Cortana because flood
can come at you from anywhere !!!! ANYWHERE!!!! LOLOLOL. Plasma weapons
work very well while killing flood. The regular assault rifle is also good
for taking out all those balloon guys too!

I ninjaman59 I

Hey Podtacular It’s the Ninja with a plan, Ninjaman. I don’t know why
people think the single player map cortana is trash. It’s really short and
really easy so, I really don’t get it. Anyway now for the tip. My tip
concerns the Very hard to kill Pure forms. well, I’ve found a Very easy
way to kill them. First go to the pelican that you go to at the end of the
level. If you go to it now you can get a shotgun, some rockets, a
flamethrower, and some grenades. (If you go to the back of the pelican you
get a secret easter egg from cortana!) Well I don’t really have much to say
about Halo so this is the Ninja with a plan signing off. (p.s. What do you
guys think of the new Halo 3: recon?)

Dejagp

hey its ur freindly neighbor hood Dejagp here with some tips and tricks on the map halo. Yah! Anyways i know everyone been wonderin how to get the ghosts on halo. Well you have to have 4 friends with you, playin on legendary, start from mission start and non of u can all die at the same time. If ufollow those rules and after u beat guilty spark go to the lower level of the tower there will be 4 shiny purple ghost of glory waiting for you. Drive them and beat the terrifying halo with them. Well thats all. Keep on fraggin nanay who hits modders on the head with the ban hammer.

leekster

Hey leekster here or my xbox live gamertag lemon troopah, on the last level
of Halo conviently named Halo is to play the level on co-op and make two
people agressors and two people campers. Agressors should have special
assualt rifles and a shotgun and campers should have gravity hammers and
shotguns as well. I will let other people tell where the skull is and the
terminal is too. Shoutout to Glewis, Cryptoflix, duststorm, and the co-host
of the week and my amigo xxxsuggitfuggazxxx. Keep on fraggn’ that ever
elusive truck, which Nai-Nai is probally driving.

halo legend

hey podtacular Referee here,

heres some stuff for the most hated level in the game… cortona
1. keep the BR with you it will help you kill most of the flood. 2. brute and human flood are easy kills but the morph flood and elite
flood are difficult to kill try to keep grenades handy
3. the skull is found in the big open room where you see the dead elite
with the sword. after you pwn all the flood go to the left and jump up on
the little projecter thingy then jump up on the mushroom like thing and
walk across it to find the skull.

here are some tips and tricks for the level halo. 1. to get the skull as soon as you enter the first cave stick to the right
and there should be another opening in the cave. the skull will be on the
ground
NOTE: THIS SKULL CAN BE FOUND PLAYING ON EASY.
2. the terminal is located where the big support beams are, stick to the
right and jump on to it the take a left and it should be there
3. to get the vidmaster annual acheviment turn the iorn skull on. after
you kill 343 gulity spark, head out and down the ramp. 4 ghosts should be
waiting for you there, remember you have to have four people to do this.

well thats all my tips for now
keep on fraggin purple bellyed yallhers who are under the command of nay
nay who has his armor wear pink and purple anuis armor…
and trucks too.

shout out to the new hosts of the podtacular audio podcast and chuckiej
for his awsome bible study.

ZonTheGreat

Hi this is ZonTheGreat with a quick tip for Cortana. When you see the flamethrower, though you may be tempted to grab it DON’T!! Yes, that’s right, I used all caps. That must mean it’s important. It is very hard to survive in Cortana with 10 flaming zombies coming at you. It’s even harder when you’re being shot at by those carbine flood things and you can’t run to cover.

That’’s it for my tip, shoutouts to Seargant Waffle who is the coolest Halo player ever, and keep on fragging trucks with magical grunts inside them, while Seargant Waffle buys Anus armor.
