Podtacular Episode 148: Callins and Tales of the Fox Hole

Hey Podtacular! Kudos on your last show! So anyway, I had a tale from the
foxhole. So one game I was playing on Snowbound and I picked up the
Spartan Laser over in the blue base. I ran out of the large shield door
and started running for the camo. But before I could get there, someone
started shooting at me. So I ducked behind the snowbank and started
charging up the laser. I jumped up and shot him. The funny thing was
that there was another guy behind the first, so I got a two for one kill.
Then I started running toward the shotgun spawn. Halfway there a guy came
running out of the tunnel thing. He didn’t see me so I charged up my
laser and killed him. After that I ran over to the red base and saw three
guys clustered together. So I charged up my shot and killed two of them
cuz the third guy backed up for some odd reason. So with three laser
shots I got 5 kills. I did make a movie clip of it, but all of my clips
got deleted when I tried to transfer my account to my friend’s 360.
Thanks podtacular, you guys rock! Keep on fraggin floob toobs in the nub
tub while they still have 4 corn or a rectangle cheez-it :)

hi it’s dabenny again (sigh),
so foo moo is in england… DUDE THATS WHERE I LIVE!! do you know what
area he is in because i would love to know.
anyways i was playing the level ‘the covenant’ and got up to the part with
the cheif ton, who has a grav hammer. just as he was gonna spank me with
it, i threw a spike grenade. he hit me with the hammer and the nade landed
between the the chief ton’s legs. it exploded sending loads of little
spikes into the chief ton’s butt. there was a puff of smoke and a little
bit of blood. i think the chief ton was so scared of me that he farted and
got a bit of follow through.

OK, so I was playing Team Slayer on Construct in matchmaking. Our team was
doing well and we were on our way to victory. So I just died and the score
was 47-37 us and I just spawned by the yellow lift. I went to the right
side (if you are facing the lift) and started shooting at one guy that was
crouched behind the pillar. I gun him down and threw two frag grenades.
As I walked up the ramp, I saw the guy come out and kept on firing. I
died and the next thing I knew, I got a triple kill death from the grave.
At first I had no idea what had happened. I later went back into the
theater and watched the whole thing unfold. I somehow threw a plasma
grenade and stuck this guy in the face in the same “frame” that I died.
The guy I stuck ended up walking backward into two of his teammates who
ended up dying from the grenade that was implanted into his face. I got a
triple kill, death from the grave, grenade stick to win the game. We won
50-38. I have three screenshots and a film in my fileshare.

Also, there was one guy who stood in the back and I can hardly imagine
what he thought. One of the screenshots is from his point of view saying
“I told them not to go outside.”

Hey guys it’s The Bounties!!!!!!!
First off this is probably the scariest level in the game and probably the
reason it is rated M. The first thing you want to do is look at the top of
the first building on the left, there will be a flood jumping and you need
to shoot him in mid jump and he will drop the skull, don’t shoot him too
early or too late because he might drop it on the roof. Next you come to
3 marines near a big door when a flood of flood come and rip them apart. So, just toss a few grenades in there and pelt them with AR fire and you
should do well even in Legendary. After you go into the warehouse you
will see a marine about to get eaten alive in front of you. With an AR
and good aim you can just save him if your quick enough. Then in the room
you saved him in just shoot at the flood around you until they are all
dead. The Spiker is surprisingly good agains these guys so maybe you want
a spike and shotgun for your weapons. Also, remember that the Arbiter
can’t die so you could just sit back and watch him take out the flood very
slowly. Further on you will get a flamethrower but i don’t recommend it on
Legeondary but it is fun in medium down. Walk through the madical center
until you come to the screaming marine going into some detail about how a
flood infects you. After you listen to him you move on until the Shadow
of Intent drops some Elites off to help you. On Legendary it is kinda
pointless because they get killed before you even get there but you can
hurry and try to save them. For the spider flood form, don’t shoot
carbine or BR shots at them but melee or anything else does well. For the
flood that shoot projectiles at you, a good stick will take them out, and
for the big bulky flood forms a good sword lunge will take them out. As i
said earlier a spike is good for shooting and good for slicing flood up.
After you get into the flood ship you probably shouldn’t shoot at the
walls because LOTS of little infection forms pop out and hit you. Just
wait for Gravemind to stop talking and grab cortana. The scene after you
grab her has very good voice acting and the funny part of The arbiter
taking a flamethrower and a Rocket Launcher to the Elites and Johnson
taking a beam rifle and some carbines to the humans. C ya Lord Hood.

Hey there Podtacular! First time submitter here, hope i’m doing this
right…anyway, here’s my tale from the foxhole: So I was playing a game
of team slayer on matchmaking and we were on Valhalla. I guess I was on a
pretty good team but we were just getting completely beat down by this one
dude on the other team flying around on a Banshee the entire time. Even
worse, my teammates decided to use up all of the rocket pods. Well, by
this time, I was getting a bit frustrated, I’ll admit it, so I just
decided to try and avoid the Banshee guy as much as I could and get some
more kills. Then, as I died and respawned back at the base, I saw that my
team was, again, getting demolished by that Banshee up on the middle hill.
So I charged for the man cannon and, as I was flying through the air, I saw
that I was headed right for Mr. Banshee. I fell right on it and jacked his
ride, way up in the air, suprising the stuff outta him and saving my team!
Can’t say that it helped out too much, cuz I’m pretty sure we still lost,
but at least I taught that guy a lesson! Man, I would’ve loved to have
saved that amazing display of sheer luck and bad karma, but I went the
cheap route and bought the 360 Core system, so no hard drive.
Sorry…Anyway, there you have it. Keep on fraggin’ them trucks! Oh, and
quick question: “I can haz anus armor?”

Hey guys, Stevematic here (Gamertag: Stevematic13). Here’s my submission
for the Tales from the Foxhole show.
Ok, so my friend and I were playing our first rocket race match on
Sandtrap. He was VIP, and I was driving. We were in the lead at 2 points.
I wasn’t thinking straight at one point I guess, and drove right into one
of the air vents thinking I would make it. My friend started screaming
that I was an idiot as we flew up and down multiple times.

We got out and proceeded down the side of the structure. One unlucky team
got slammed into the wall next to us and fell upside down. When they got
out we assassinated them with some luck and got on their mongoose. We
looked at the score and we still had 2, but the Blue Team had 8. At that
point we figured we would definitely lose the match. So I just kept
driving toward the goals.

By some insanely fortunate coincidence, we got a lucky string of points
and had maybe 8 points. But we were still down by 1. So we were getting
pretty excited at this point. We had already gotten some very close saves
before in the match. As we were driving toward our next destination we
were hit by Blue Team’s rocket! We didn’t have a chance anymore. Remember
Blue Team had 9 points. But luckily the rocket shot us at an insanely high
rate of speed toward our destination to get our ninth point.

I don’t know what really happened to Yellow and Orange team then. But I
guess they were firing off at Blue. My friend and I sped away on our
high-jacked mongoose to get our final point. This was the luckiest game
I’ve ever had. Video is on my Fileshare and is the only Rocket Race on
Sandtrap there so it should be east to find.

Me and my friend were playing teamdoubles and my partner was should the
enimies and they both had swords.I randomly threw a frag onto the third
floor.The nade bounced off the ground and landed right between both of
them and I got a double kill.Me and my friend were laughing so hard for
the rest of the match.Shout outs to chiny33 and the whole podtacular
cast.Keep on fraggin emo’s.

SPARTAN-077 here with some weapon tips on Floodgate. Ok, my first tip
works best if you have played the map before. When you pass over the the
roadblock, right before you first fight the flood, on a platform on the
right side, there is a shottie. In this spot, you can see the over turned
cars and stuff. I grab that, then after that, i pick up a BR down by were
they drop down. Later on a huge power weapon, the flamethrower can be
used. Its sometime when your inside the building, on a catwalk were some
tradic marines lost their lives,(but who cares about them in the 1st
place?). when i play on legendary with my friend, I grab it and he covers
me with the br. Later in the when the elites drop in, if one dies, pick up
a sword. This blade of bluey death is the best melee weapon on flood, A: it
destroys their bodies, B: it doesnt take away from its power. the best tips
for this nice mission, is to keep your gun reloaded and always watchout for
the freaking fluid filled bodies of dead things jumping down on you and
that great parrell parker, the arbiter. Keep up the awsome work!!

Hey guys,

My tale from the fox is from a team doubles game I recently played on
Foundery. The game type was team snipers, which is always a fun time. My
buddy and I got off to the worst start getting creamed 17-4 all while
having to listen to the opposition giggle about how awsome they are,
thanks to the proximity mic. Although a smile came from my face when their
giggles turned into them screaming at each other as we mounted a come back.
My team managed to come back from the depths and at 24-24 things got
intense.

Our opponets decide to stay inside there base and let us come thinking
they would get an easy kill as we advanced. I was along the back wall
between where the two sniper rifles would normally spawn and deciding to
be gutsy or plain stupid I side stepped to take a peek….BLAM. A sniper
round hits me but luckly dosn’t take me out. My sheilds beeping I decide
not to do that again but to pick a nice arc and let some gernades fly,
hopeing for a nice distraction so we may get the final shot. But before I
could even move to shoot I hear my teammate screaming like a little girl
and that sexy voice “GAME OVER”.

My gernade travelled across all of foundery to bounce off a wall and land
at the feet of a would be sniper for the epic come back. The video is
riddiculas and can be found in my file share. Keep up the good work foo

Hey Podtacular, it’s azn_dude1 again with another tale from the foxhole. So
I was playing BTB VIP on Valhalla. We were down 5-0 until I decided that my
team wasn’t going to cooperate, so I took matters into my own hands. I took
a mongoose and drove to the shotgun tunnel on the right side of the map. I
took the shotgun, and then hid in the rocks near their base. When I made
sure the coast was clear, I crouch-walked into their base where their VIP
was hiding. I knew he was right around the corner and didn’t know I was
there. I ran around the corner and fired my shotty 3 times and killed him.
I was rewarded with a point added to my team. In the end, my team lost
10-1, with me scoring the only point. This shows that if you have a lot of
non-cooperative people on your team, and you wanted to do something, you
can do it with a mix of crouch walking and power weapons. Now, if your
whole team, including you, were uncooperative, then you all could do
something great, like win the match. But, then that would be called
teamwork. Well, keep on fragging anus armor.

Woohoo! Got a nice juicy mouthwatering story for all. So Alpha Zombie on a
Forged Santrap. Humans started with SMGs with infinite ammo and 4
mongeese, plus a Gauss Warthog. Alpha Zombie was a pink Elite and had 300%
speed, same with regular zombies except they are gold. I got on the back of
a Mongoose with my friend in the driving. After a while, a horde of 13
zombies with saberswords was chasing our Mongoose. I heard a mufling out
of the speakers. Then the Alpha Zombie and 4 other zombies started going
backwards. Before I realized what happened, 6 zombies were in front of us
and 7 behind. We let out a scream as my friend took a quick right turn
into the mine field. After taking out 7 zombies that ran over mines or
were gunned down, I realized the pink alpha Elite was missing. I heard my
friend let out a yell as a half ton pink Elite dived at his head with a
sword. Soon after, I was dead.

Shout out to Foo mo who Survived the bashing of Sarcastic Gamer.

It’s Swift Ninja1 again with a Tale from the Fox Hole.
This happened during the Halo 3 Beta and I remembered it a few days ago.
Anyways I invited one of my friends who didn’t have Crackdown to my house
to play the Beta. The game was Team Slayer on Valhalla. I grabbed a trip
mine and went to the enemies base. I put the trip mine under their Warthog
so they would blow up if they drove it. My friend went over to their hog
without knowing about the trip mine. He got in it and told one of our
teamate’s to get in the turret. When the teamate got in, my friend started
driving, blew up, and I got a double kill betrayel and booted from the
game. That was my Tale from the Fox Hole.

Hey guys, Its Nearswordman1 here again with a tale from the foxhole. This
is the story of what has to be the greatest melee kill in all of Halo. I
know that’s a big claim, but this lives up to it. To set the stage, we
are playing a game of Big Team Slayer on Sandtrap Covies. I’ve just
spawned and I have a Battle Riffle and an Assault Riffle. I suddenly find
my self staring down a guy in a ghost. The guy tries to splatter my from
behind. I jumped and he when under me. I fired at him, but he turned
around and came at me again. Same thing, I jumped and he when under and I
was shooting. The he turned around, and same thing. But this time after he
went under me he turned around and started firing at me and going
backwards. He knocked out my shield, and I ducked behind a Wraith for
cover. Then I noticed that I had a plasma grenade. I backed up and threw
the plasma. Then, after my shields had gone back up, I was wondering if I
stuck him, so I jumped on top of the Wraith. The guy was still out there,
and my plasma had fallen short. When he saw me, we boosted at me, trying
to splatter me on top of the Wraith. He boosted right over the plasma, and
after he passed it blew up, sending his Ghost flying. The Ghost flew
forward, hit one of the fins on the front of the Wraith, and went in to
the air. The ghost flew by my head, almost splattering me, and as he was
flying by…WHACK… I beat him out of the Ghost and got the most
satisfying beat down of my life. The video is up in my file share. Its
called “The Best Melee Ever” and my gamer-tag again is Nearswordman1.

Keep on fraggin’ The Alien Nay-Nays who drop blue glowing orbs and
inhabit unnaturally lit rooms.

Hey all, this is a story about how interesting tactical things can happen
without even trying. I was in Big Team battle and to my disdain, yet
another game of VIP on Sandtrap came up and did not get vetoed.
Thankfully, I didn’t get stuck with a lousy team and soon found myself on
the winning side. towards the end of the game, I hopped in a ghost when I
noticed a teammate of mine in another ghost shooting into the back of an
elephant. Intruiged, I boosted over and slid sideways next to him to find
the inside of the elephant literally packed with the entire other team—
including the VIP. So, I started firing and a deadly crossfire was created
from which the other team could not escape. At this point, a THIRD ghost
came by and joined in the fun. The other team was simply obliterated. The
best part was when they kept respawning inside the elephant. In total, the
VIP was killed 7 times, of which 2 kills were by me. Thanks for listening
and keep on fraggin’ yeti-humping sasquatches, but make sure you remember
your anus armor while you do so.

ok so this is my tale from the foxhole…......i was playing team slayer
on high ground and about 7 minutes into the game i was in that little gray
bunker and my opponent was on the outside i ran out to try to kill him
,when i ran out i through a frag grenade at him because i only had a AR
but when i through the grenade it got stuck between his armor and this
wasn’t a sticky grenade it was a frag grenade. it is on my file share you
guys should go check it out there are two videos of this.

This Was Amazing stick And I Dont Recall anyone Doing This Exactly how I
Did This.

On narrows when you have two different sides and you spawn on one of them
i picked up 2 plasma grenades and threw them through the man cannon. And
thats Not all Someone Put a bubble shield down And As They Put It Down It
made The Plasma Grenade Go Back Into The man cannon And Came towards me
then some blue dude came running past the man cannon and got stuck by this
grenade!

Hey guys, foo mo jive you may remember me from H3TV but anyway, i have a
great tale from the foxhole. ok so i was playing on a new silver account i
had just made and made a new friend. we decided to play some big team
battle and got a match on sandtrap and he was in the hog turret the whole
match and i was in the banshee for ALMOST the the entire match. i was
giving my teammates air support. amazingly i got very lucky for a while
and got a killing frenzy with the banshee alone and a double and triple
kill giving me a killing spree. i couldnt believe it but i did and the
match ended with a score of 100 to 24. the entire game is in my file
share. My silver account is X PhoenixKing X and my gold account is xX
S0RA Xx (there is a zero for the o) and shout-out to everyone at
Podtacular and if any of you guys would like to send me a friend request
that would be pretty cool.

P.S. where in god’s name did “keep on fraggin’ trucks” come from? Just
