Podtacular Episode 147: Floodgate Campaign Show
for the week of January 31st, 2008

(hosts foo mo, JVB, Lancelot59)

introductions

I hope this gets read…thank you if you do…i’ve been listening to you
guys since Episode 85 but I have a tip on the skull found in Floodgate.

when you first enter the city look up and unload a few rounds into the
Flood creature you see ontop of a building…if done right it’ll throw a
skull across the street and BAM! free skull.

Keep on Spanking Hunters!!
P.S!
JVB hit me up on LIVE sometime so we can play and chat…or maybe play
Grifball…unless you need a player on your team.

From the Covenant crate, slowly descend the hill and when you get to
the tilted street light, stop.

Look up at the burning building on your right and watch the
roofline.

Slowly creep forward, watching the roofline through your scope,
because when you get to about the second street light, a single Flood-let
will poke his head out and then jump.

Shoot him the moment the moment you see him and the skull he was
holding will tumble to the ground.

There it is! one more thing, i have started making a halo fanfic, check it
out!!! the location is,

There It Is! keep on fragin naynays bum armour!

shoutouts to Geemaknee01, reaper_of_shadows and all the podtac members!!!

Hey Podtacular, it’s Massive Hat. I’m a long-time listener, first time
submitter (or LTLFTS!).
Anyways, here are some tips I have for Floodgate. As you go through the
TRAXIS warehouse, there’s a trip mine in one of the “former” Marine
barricades. Keep this trip mine handy when you get closer to the exit of
the warehouse, in the small room with intersecting walls (after Cortana’s
“ghost” appears for the first time). Rounding the first corner of that
room, throw the trip mine down to kill all the Flood hiding on the other
side of the wall. I found this to work much better than the flamethrower,
which often leads to setting yourself ablaze. Speaking of the flamethrower
and the accidentally self-ablazement, the flamethrower should only be used
if you have no friendlies around you, and the flaming-Flood can’t easily
run at you. Also, flamethrowers, flame grenades and sticky grenades are
good for eliminating Carrier forms without releasing their “packages.” The
next trip mine you find, outside by where the Scarab battle used to be, can
be used whenever you see large amounts of Flood moving towards you. Areas
after that are open enough that a trip mine will wipe out at least half
Flood combat forms.
For Pure forms, a Brute Shot works best. The bladed end works well in
close-combat of any three of the forms (although Tank forms can take more
than one hit before falling down), and the ranged grenade launcher is good
against Ranged forms.
Finally, save as many Marines/Elites as possible. Even though they are
vulnerable to infection, they still are effective in killing Combat forms
and Infection forms. Saving them not only reduces the number of combat
forms you face, but also feels like a sub-achievement when you stop
infection forms from grabbing on to them.
Now you’ve probably already this in the show a dozen times, but there is
one skull on this level, the Fog Skull. The skull is at the beginning of
the level, held by an Combat form jumping across the rooftops. Normally
one or two shots to its “head” or chest makes it drop the skull. Its good
to utilize the checkpoint before if you need to try, try again.

So that ends my tips. Keep on fraggin’... I’m not gonna even try. Later
guys.

Hey guys it’s The Bounties!!!!!!!
First off this is probably the scariest level in the game and probably the
reason it is rated M. The first thing you want to do is look at the top of
the first building on the left, there will be a flood jumping and you need
to shoot him in mid jump and he will drop the skull, don’t shoot him too
early or too late because he might drop it on the roof. Next you come to
3 marines near a big door when a flood of flood come and rip them apart. So, just toss a few grenades in there and pelt them with AR fire and you
should do well even in Legendary. After you go into the warehouse you
will see a marine about to get eaten alive in front of you. With an AR
and good aim you can just save him if your quick enough. Then in the room
you saved him in just shoot at the flood around you until they are all
dead. The Spiker is surprisingly good agains these guys so maybe you want
a spike and shotgun for your weapons. Also, remember that the Arbiter
can’t die so you could just sit back and watch him take out the flood very
slowly. Further on you will get a flamethrower but i don’t recommend it on
Legeondary but it is fun in medium down. Walk through the madical center
until you come to the screaming marine going into some detail about how a
flood infects you. After you listen to him you move on until the Shadow
of Intent drops some Elites off to help you. On Legendary it is kinda
pointless because they get killed before you even get there but you can
hurry and try to save them. For the spider flood form, don’t shoot
carbine or BR shots at them but melee or anything else does well. For the
flood that shoot projectiles at you, a good stick will take them out, and
for the big bulky flood forms a good sword lunge will take them out. As i
said earlier a spike is good for shooting and good for slicing flood up.
After you get into the flood ship you probably shouldn’t shoot at the
walls because LOTS of little infection forms pop out and hit you. Just
wait for Gravemind to stop talking and grab cortana. The scene after you
grab her has very good voice acting and the funny part of The arbiter
taking a flamethrower and a Rocket Launcher to the Elites and Johnson
taking a beam rifle and some carbines to the humans. C ya Lord Hood.
I would like to give a shout out to the Ice Climbers nay nay and po po.
LOL

here are a few tips for fighting the pure flood forms.

Use any long ranged wepon such as the Br to take down the pure flood range
things. it is important to take them out fast, becuse their a real pain in
the heroic and legendary settings.
The best wepon to use on the pure tank forms is a sword, which kills them
with one hit.
and the normal pure flood, just take them out before they turn into the
other forms.
also try to keep a sword with you becuse it will last for a long time.

Keep on Fragg’n Trucks, Dr0p Dead Nick

hi podtacular this is my first time on the site so ya i am listening to
episode 146 right now so ya any way the flood are tuff on legendary for
sure but there are several tips for the flood tip 1.the br head shot can
work very well one shot kill even on legendary but the brute flood are
bent over and its sometimes are to hit them which sucks2.grenades can be
very nice to have they usualy are but dont just randomly throw them wait
for groups to come and make the nades count3.have you heard of the halo golden triad of doom guns, grenades, and mele well duals ruin that since
you cant mele’or throw grenades right wrong plasma rifle, and spiker duals
are really effective4.there is a skull here two when you start the
mission go to where the line of buildings start and look strat up and
shoot the jumping flood and boom a skull5. and for my last tip on
legendary for sure to take your time dont just charge in or you will die
good job to podtacular i am adictted to the show and keep on fraging
stupid spartans that say elites suck because they dont
p.s. mojo is better then the force and i am the master(so watch out)

Hey what`s up dude! This is Tapio (gamertag: II Tapio II )

Let`s get to the tip:

If you are playing 4 player legendary and having trouble do this:
Have 3 players charge and try go through the level and 1 wait,so if 3
other happen to die, they respawn to the 1 player who was waiting.
Make sure to take turns so that people wont get bored.
Make sure that you play as master chief and make other dinosaurs do the
run,and make sure to laugh when they die.

If you are playing alone and in legendary, make sure to help the dinosaurs
at “Shadow of intent” part,so they can be your dino slaves until end of
the level.
When you enter to the flood filled spaceship make sure to teabag the dead
dinosaurs there.

Keep on pwning soccer moms( Yes this has 2 meanings, just use your
imagination)

and to take shout out`s to another level:
Hey guy who sold me that pizza last week,I know you are listening to
this, there was not enough cheese on my pizza.
If you dont put some extra cheese next time to my pizza,i will take my
business to somehwere else
Ps.Trying to make pizza called “pwnage” is not cool

Oh and JVB gotta get back to twitter,Peace dudes!

SPARTAN-077 here with some weapon tips on Floodgate. Ok, my first tip
works best if you have played the map before. When you pass over the the
roadblock, right before you first fight the flood, on a platform on the
right side, there is a shottie. In this spot, you can see the over turned
cars and stuff. I grab that, then after that, i pick up a BR down by were
they drop down. Later on a huge power weapon, the flamethrower can be
used. Its sometime when your inside the building, on a catwalk were some
tradic marines lost their lives,(but who cares about them in the 1st
place?). when i play on legendary with my friend, I grab it and he covers
me with the br. Later in the when the elites drop in, if one dies, pick up
a sword. This blade of bluey death is the best melee weapon on flood, A: it
destroys their bodies, B: it doesnt take away from its power. the best tips
for this nice mission, is to keep your gun reloaded and always watchout for
the freaking fluid filled bodies of dead things jumping down on you and
that great parrell parker, the arbiter. Keep up the awsome work!!
Shout out to Sir gets alot, Devil, raper, and aids.(my halo bitches)
keep on t’baggen’ hunter’s anus armor!!!

Floodgate is probably one of the easiest levels once you play it through a
few times. The skull in the level is in the beginning. A flood carrying it
jumps from the first building on the right. You have to shoot the flood as
it jumps or you it will either be dropped on the building or fly somewhere
you can’t reach. Well, that’s my superfantastirifical submission. Keep
fraggin’ trucks in the shape of frags.

Hey, it’s azn dude1. This is my 4th submission.

Floodgate is a fun level. The point achievement for this is not hard to
get. Play it on normal with the following skulls: mythic, catch, tilt, and
tough luck. If you are playing with a friend, then turn on these skulls
also: fog, thunderstorm, and famine. The silver skulls you should turn on
are IWBYD and cowbell. Also try to get the time bonus at the end.

In the beginning, there is a skull that is hard to get, the fog skull.
Proceed along with the level until a marine says “look up in the air”
Then, take your BR or carbine and look on top of the building. You should
see the flood. Shoot him as soon as possible and watch the skull drop. If
you fail, keep reverting to last save. It is easier with more people.

Here are some rapid-fire tips: Remember that most flood die in a headshot.
The easiest way to kill a flood hunter is with a sword. Never use a sword
on those slow big-headed guys. The spawns will explode out and kill you.
Near the end, use the turrets for as long as possible. Your elites are
good stickers. Just don’t get in their way when they throw a grenade.

Well, that’s it. Keep on fragging yellow monkey-chickens driving the
elephant while cursing the Bungie staff because he can’t has recon.

The best way to beat all of the flood pure forms is to try to get
close enough to mele them, WAIT UNTIL THEY FULLY TRANSFORM OR THEY CAN
COME BACK TO HAUNT YOU!!!!

hey its time to pull out your shotguns and mow down some flood cause its
the flood gates. this level is much easier compared to its older brother
Cortona. one thing i can say that on this level one gun that despite never
being used before can be usefl this time around is the SMG. the SMG eats
away at the flood with ease and plenty of left behind. if you run out of
SMG rounds switch to Duel wielded plasma rifles amazingly these blue
plasma bolts actually do something to the flood now. despite its first
time appearance on this level the flame-thrower is just not that good of a
weapon for killing off the flood quickly. if you are going to points be my
guest and use it to watch flood scatter around in fire but unless you are
a pyro maniac i suggest you dont pick it up. always remember to have frags
and spike grenades at hand on this level many times little flood forms will
just jump on top of you and a good stuck spike grenade or a well placed
frag will take them all out, this same rule implies for regular combat
forms. as for those annoying behemoths the juggernaut flood the only true
one shot kill are unfortunately the energy swords so i recommend you look
for one early. this is also one of those few chances Elites jump down to
assist you in the fray if you hand an elite a superior weapon or just look
at them for a while you may get funny little comments such as, i will hold
on to this tightly big green man, or why dont you take a picture it will
ummm…... what is it last longer. once you find the recording of cortona
congrats one of the easiest campaign missions in the books is complete for
you.
anyways keep on searching for mysterious and mythical creatures called
nay-nay. the hunt must go on.

also a message for those who find and capture nay-nay plz let her or him
go.

Hey guys, it’s Lilkuke with a “synopsis” and various tips of Floodgate, the
level after the Storm.

So, first off, the level starts right where the last one left off.
Literally, you are on the kill where you shut down the anti-ait gun. So,
if you run down the hill you will see multiple burning buildings. Keep
going forward until you hear a marine say “Sir, multiple contacts”, look
up in the air, and you will see a flood jumping from one building to the
other, like Spiderman. If you shoot him with the right timing and in the
head while he’s either flying, or on top of the first building, he will
die and drop a skull.
Continue on and at the first turn, look to your left and there is a dead
brute, and next to him is a spiker and some spike grenades, so, pick the
grenades up (and the spiker, if you want), because they will come in handy
later.
Look to the either side of every turn you pass, and, eventually, you’ll
find some dead marines with a shotgun next to them, pick that up. Continue
on and you will find your first encounter in Halo 3 with the flood. Kill
them, then jump up to where your HUD tells you to go and if you’re quick
enough, you will see a marine being turned into a flood right before your
eyes.

Just a little easter egg, after you kill all the flood in the big empty
room, you will go into another room that looks almost exactly like
Foundry, the multiplayer map.
Anyways, for a tip, ALWAYS watch your back on this level. I got killed
many times because I was not doing this. Keep going on through the level
and you will encounter a crazy marine. Trust me, you’ll know who he is
when you get to him. Kill him if you must. Anyway, keep going and you will
go outside. Here, there are many flood, especially in brute form. Take a
sword and kill them, it’s the best way to kill the brute types.
When you get to the long tunnel, put down a regenerator, if you still have
one, and just lob grenades to the other side. This does not take out all
the flood, but it takes out most of them. Another really good way to kill
flood is with a plasma rifle, believe it or not. It only takes a few shots
to kill a flood with one of those puppies. The brute floods, will transform
into spider floods sometimes if you let them, but, they are still
vulnerable to the deadliness of the sword.

When you get to the next outside area, right after Johnson tells you to
look for Cortana on the ship, kill as many floods with the turret as you
can, then detach it. When you run out of bullets, continue on and
purposely fall off of one of the platforms and you will find a gravity
hammer. Continue on until you get to the end of the level. From there on,
it is just cinematics, but very important ones.

The Chief finds out that the Oracle, or, Guilty Spark 343, is now on their
side and wants to help them because it has nothing else left. The Chief
finds a message on the flood ship and it’s a message from Cortana. Cortana
tells them to go through the portal, because there is a solution on the
other side. The Elite chief says “Let’s go!”, but, Lord Hood has other
thoughts. He saw that Cortana was in bad shape in the message, and thinks
that it might be a trap, that the Gravemind might have said it and
duisguied itself as her. Lord Hood and the Elites have a long debate and
it is finally decided that the Chief and everyone else will go through the
portal, but Lord Hood will stay behind on Earth. So, everyone gets ready to
leave, and that’s the end of the level…

Sorry for the length of that submission, guys, but, I wanted to squeeze in
a lot of stuff because this is one of the biggest “story” levels in the
game.
Anyways, shoutouts to SGO LoneWarrior, the Godtacular Bible study
(ChuckieJ, Foo Mo, Psalm 116, Lalizig, and everyone else), JVB and his new
podcast (great job!), and to Nay-Nay.

Keep on fraggin’ midgets, according to Foo Mo.

Hi,
Well the marine that is being attacked in the beginning has a high
resistance to the grenades that are thrown by you so a well placed grenade
can save most of them. Further along in the level you are walking in the
building where you come to a part that makes you go forward, u-turn to the
left then forward and then u-turn to the right… well in the middle of the
two turns a hoard of flood are stationed there… a grenade will usually
take all but one out. I’ve always done this but I think that if this is
not done then the weapons that are available to you won’t be good enough.
(On legendary of course) One last thing, why do people end with “Keep on
fragging [insert retarded phrase here]”?

- Zamaje, Major Grade 1 Lvl 36
       Khaos Regime

Hey guys.
The skull for this level is in the beginning once you get back to the
flood infested city. There will be a flood guy who jumps across from the
first building on the right. He has the skull. Kill him before he jumps
away and he will drop the skull for you to get. It is the fog skull. I
like using my BR for doing this.
Keep on fragin’ applesauce trees.

To really get through this level sucessfully, i would suggest that you get
these weapons. Your primary you should be thinking medium to long range. A
battle rifle or carbine would work perfectly as a primary weapon. If you
can’t seem to get your hands on those weapons, a assult rifle will do just
fine. For your secondary weapon, definitly think close range for when the
flood jumps down upon you. Pretty much you need to get a shotgun or a
sword. There are several areas to get these two weapons, when you a first
going around through the level and you come across the marines that are
bunkered down behind sandbags fighting the flood. In the box right behind
them, there is a shotgun. As for the sword, you will encounter some flood
that are carring them, so just simply kill them and then you can get it.
In summary, just make sure you keep track of your ammo and be smart about
your weapon selection. Keep up the good work! I love the podcast. Keep on
fragging trucks.

Yoohoo! What up Podtac homeys! Ok so lets see what this is for… Ah,
Floodgate. Ok, if you ever play for the Fog skull on this mission, it is
the hardest to get, apart from Catch. When you enter the Factory area two
or three combat form will fly above you. The one closest to you should be
the one with the skull. Kill him in midflight to get the Fog skull. This
skull enables the destruction of the motion tracker, it is a 1.5
multiplier.

Now onto gettin Meta-Achievement. Do on Normal with Catch(because flood
don’t have nades), Thunderstorm(cause it only sends more combat forms),
and Fog(motion tracker on Floodgate=useless). With these skulls and the
lack of nearby marines for help, you should nab the Exterminator
achievement. Few tips. On the part when you first go head-to-head with the
combat forms, toss a plasma in the fray of the marines/flood for a multi
kill. Killing infection forms will give you no points, so let them
infect.

For doing it on Legendary, I ain’t got anything to say. Just DO NOT USE
THE FLAME THROWER!!! Flood charge you, and the only thing worse than that
are flood on FIRE charging you.

Keep on fraggin’ anus armor wearing 8 year olds who say, “COD4 PWNS
HALO!!!!” Even though it might be true.

Hey guys, just a quick tip from me today: The best weapon for use against
the Flood is the Brute shot. You can use the grenades to take out packs
that charge you, or you can use the blade when you run out of ammo. The
blade usually results in a one or two hit kill. Good luck all and keep on
fraggin’ Hilary Clinton.

Hey Podtacular!!!!
It’s your swiftest ninja in the world. Swift Ninja1!
Anyways I got a tip for “The Floodgate” level. I couldn’t play this level
recently cuz i have the evil Red Rings of Death. (Foo Mo Jive knows the
story) Anyways heres my tip. When I play this level, I always carry a
shotgun with me because it pretty much kills any kind of the flood. Also
when you get to the part with the flamethrower, pick it up and use it.
Some of my friends told me that it wasen’t good, but I got the most kills
with it between my friends. (we were playing co-op) Anyways I’ll see ya
guys later,
Keep on fraggin’ Big Daddies that started killing me even though the
splicer was the guy who hit the Big Daddy(Bioshock))
Swift Ninja1

Hey guys Larkin here with a few tips on fighting the flood on the first
flood level of the game, flood gate. I have only beaten this level on
legendary so i dont know if its difrent as the difficulty level decreases
but i asume it is.

1- Just like in all the past games the shotgun and now the mauler are your
best freind when fighting the flood one direct shot to any part of the
floods body will kill them instantly and with the mauler a shot and a
mele should do the trick. if you find ether of these weapons conserve the
ammo and use them only when your sure that you will get the one-shot kill
because the ammo for them is hard to come by

2- When facing big groups of enemies or large swarms of carrier forms the
flamer is your new best freind, the flamer can be used to set down a wall
of fire that the flood not being known for there smarts will run right in
to in there rush to get within mele range, the flames will instantly pop
any bubbles that go into them and normal combat forms will catch on fire
allowing you to back pedal until they fall dead at your feet

3- When facing those annoying ranged pure forms that stick to the walls
use a brute sho to knock them from there purch and if you dont dislodge
them the explosion will stun them allowing you to run up for the easy
melle kill another strategy is just to stick them but grenades are often
scarce so its better to use them on groups instead of one pesky enemy

4- when facing flood pures in there juggernaut form use the AR or any
other rapid firing balistic weapon like the spiker or smg and just hose
them with bullets it takes multiple shotgun rounds to take one down so its
best to use the more pletntful rifle ammo instead of your precious
shotgun/mauler ammo.

5- When facing any flood form from a distance forget using the sniper
rifle because at least in my experiance the bullet goes straight through
the mushy flood target and causes almost no damage instead grab a BR and
go to town hit them directly in the chest for a 2 shot kill.

6- use grenades on groups of enemies and never just on one, dont go for
the stick just through the grenade at the ground or a near by wall because
as soon as you through the nade the flood are going to charge you, often
leaving the grenade you threw to explode harmlesly in the area that the
flood where instead stick or bounce the grenade in front of you fire some
shots and let the flood run in to the blast radius

ok those are my general flood fighting rules hope they work for you guys,
I just want to give a shout out to my fellow Podtacular Marines and keep
on fragging those rediculous truck driving flood and the trucks that they
are driving.

Hey guys. Sir get sa lot here. Just started listening about one week ago,
and first time submitter (love what you are doing). Well to the point, I
have some tips abut the floodgates. First off shotgun, hammer, and sword
are all excellent weapons to use because they split, splat, and own the
flood. BR and AR are not as effective but if you have to use them they are
better then nothing. When starting the level a hammer shotgun and frags can
be found in the small cubby holes in the wall. These are nice because there
are powerful weapons to get before the flood appear. There are also several
boxes of human weapons scattered throughout the level. So Ammo is not much
of a problem. The flamethrower is a horrible weapon to use agianst the
flood because it will kill more of your team then the flood. It also makes
master chief walk slower.

Although a short level the floodgate is very important to the plot of
halo3. For example it is the first time Flood is fought in halo3. And a
message from Cortona is received about a portal.

PS. Shout out to Evan, Mitch, and Lucas Richards. Keep on fraggin shiny
inanimate objects.

thanks for turning down my friend request politely foo mo. and keep on fragin anise raping hobo humpers. shout out to ratshad, dash, and godtacular. fell free to send me a friend request foo mo and jvb and whoever else is doing the show right now.

what up its dabenny again (sigh), i have a tip on floodgate, when you start da level head down from the
mountain/hill. when you find the tram, truck thing blow it up with a frag
nade and see under it. there is a grav hammer to muck about with.full
charge woop woop.

you can also push an elite off the edge of the map, its funny because hes
survives da fall and throws a spaz at the bottem of the level.

keep on fraging the russian cream cake (kelab)

For an easy tip on beating up the flood. The very first thing you want to
do is load up on grenades, by doing this you’ll be able to kill the big
groups of babies that are making your life hard. Second you want to look
at your team mates weapons to see if any of them has any of the following
SMG, Shotgun. Now make sure to also look for plasma rifles, it makes since
that plasma burns through flood right? Next you want to find the gravity
hammer in the beginning of the level to help you along the way for a bit.
Make sure to get the fog skull if you have not gotten it. Now at the end
when your in the ship you want to make sure not to throw grenades or pop
the eggs, this counts most if your playing on legendary with a lot of
golden skulls.

Hey Podtacular, Jurassicdl3 here, i want tell people how to save the marine
that is attacked by the flood in the room that you enter after being
outside. well i only did it one but what i did was rush in there with an
fully loaded Assault Rife and shot up all the tiny flood forms and i was
able to save this marine from becoming a flood form. Also, if you are
being attacked by many flood i would use a rocket if there is one, i am
not sure if there is, but i would use the brut hammer and/or the
flamethrower to take them out. That’s all i have to say for this week
podtacular, keep of fragging two tone nukes at little tiny grunts and
purple belly squirrels.

I got some tips on finding the 1 gold skull (Fog skull) found in this level, and how to score the 15,000 pts. for the Exterminator meta-game achievement.

At the very start of the level, as you walk up the stairs leading into the town (the marines will start talking), look up and to the right to the first building on your right (past the missile turret). A single Flood will appear and then jump across; shoot him before he jumps and the Skull will fly down to the ground. However, if you shoot him too early the Skull will land on the roof and you will have to try again. Do not mistake him for the two Flood that jump onto the roof of the building directly ahead. Don’t worry if you miss him because if you restart from last chk point, it will start you just before the marines start talking. This is easily done if you start with a BR from the last level.

The meta-game achievement is easy to accomplish with or without any of the gold skulls turned on. If you have already collected the 9 gold skulls, try these skulls for free and easy bonus points:
Catch Skull (Grunts and Brutes throw more gernades, this is a freebie because this level deals with the flood), Fog skull (Turns off motion tracker) and the Famine skull, weapons dropped by enemies contain less ammo (not a problem because you will find weapons abundant thru out this lvl). Since this is one of the shortest campaign mission, next to the arrival, completing this level under 20min will be easy for 2x your point total.

Forget about about the flame torcher, use the Br to shoot down the flood at a safe distance (aim for upper part of chest for head shot bonus points) and use the bubble shield and regenerator to lure the flood in for close quarter combat with the shotgun as you would for online multiplayer matches. These two ingredients will help you make a flawless run through!!!

I like to say thanks again to ChuckieJ @ Godtacular, Foo Mo & JVB for giving us great podcast every week and my friend Captain Safety.

Take Care.

Psalm 116

On the level Floodgate, sticky gernades and an energy sword is a MUST.
Shotgun’s are not as effective against the Flood in Halo 2, but the sword
is definitely very effective against the Flood in H3. The energy sword is
used for all the Flood that walk on the ground and try to attack you, but
you also need something to take out those pesky turret Flood things that
attach themselves to the wall. That’s were your plasma gernades come
in…stick them onto those creatures on the walls and watch them exlpode!

Also, I would like to make a big shoutout to POOP!

Thanks,
Sausage x J

this is one of the hardest skulls to get in the game it took me 2 or 3
times to get it. the best way is to get ur br or sniper from the end of
the storm. and when you get near the first building lock you scoopon the
top and wait for the flood to jump then fire as many shots as you can till
the flood die.then walk over and the skull will be sitting there.just want
to say i love the show.keep fraggen nana and rupert.

Hey Podtacular!
This has been my first submission in awhile… To start off I just wanna
say you guys are doing a real great job with the podcast, its awesome!

Anyways, Floodgate is one of my favorite levels in the Halo 3 campaign.
Here are some good strategies you can use when trying to conquer this
flood filled level…

In the beginning of the level, be sure you grab the gravity hammer. Later
in the level, after you fall down the small hole in the ground, you will
approach a room that has flood on the other sides of a wall. A really
nifty trick you can do here is hammer through the wall to kill the enemies
on the other side. Just walk up to the wall, and pull the trigger. This is
effective especially on Legendary, because you can kill the flood without
exposing yourself.
When fighting the flood, practice on easier modes and find their head
level. It is different depending on the form, so be careful. With a
successful headshot from the battle rifle, you can knock a flood down easy
and quick. Also, try using the needler against the Pureform floods that
shoot you. Since they aren’t moving, the needler works great to take them
down.

These strats, along with a few other ones, can be found in one of the
upcoming Pod TV episodes, which is a legendary runthrough of Floodgate.

Lastly I’d like to give a shoutout to the entire Podtacular Rec clan,
including JP Oliver and CARTS. You guys rock!

Thanks guys, and keep on fraggin’ Chevelle.

In this part of campaign i like to use the skull to kill the flood. this
may seem boring but it is very effective because it is almost a 1 hit
kill. Start the mission and wait till you enter the city the first
building on you right has a tall roof with a flood on the top hold the
skull. shoot him in mid-air and he’ll drop the skull. Using the skull
makes getting through this mission on legendary easy even with the skulls
activated.

Thanks for the podcast guys,
Keeping on fraging foo mo jive while hes recording the podcast.
