for the week of October 16th, 2007

introductions

Hi guys, spoof here spreading the word about one of my favorite game types.
Spike Ball! As some of you may know, I started a Spike Ball Tourney (In the
“Tournaments” forum, check it out) and I did it because it is really fun.
You have to play it on a certain map though, which is the Spike Ball
Arena, an edited map of Sand Trap. Back to the game. It’s basically the
Dodgeball of Halo. You play in a smallish arena and spike grenades spawn
in the middle of the arena first and then they spawn all around the arena.
You basically have to stick the other team before they stick you. Both the
map and the gametype are in my file share. My gamertag is Settingsun010.
That’s about it…
Thanks for reading guys, and if I may, I’m going to advertise the Spike
Ball tourney, one more time. If you are interested just go to the
Tournaments forum and look for my thread, “The Official Spike Ball
Tourney. Accept no others! coughJammy12cough I kid.

LAZER CATS REVAMPED!!! Spartan Lasers, Gravity Hammers, Unlimited ammo,
300% speed, 50% gravity, grenade regeneration, on Valhalla. It’s the
greatest ever, once I played it for 2 hours straight!

I just wanted to say that there is one
game i have been playing for a week. Its called Organ Trail. It is the
funnest game i haved played so far on halo 3. This is a zombie game, and
the zombies should have no sheilds. Everyone except the zombie starts out
on the elphant, and it must drive all the way to the big base. The big
base is completely boarded up, and there is only one way in. The humans
must defend the inside with the detached turrets from the elephant, a few
pistols, a trusty assault rifle, and a shotgun. This is the best game
hands down. Its on the bungie forums, so check it out.

Hey, Podtacular! I’ve got a cool map for you. I didn’t make it, but it’s
really super azaming and awesome.
It’s on Last Resort, or as I like to call it, WaterPark. It’s made for
Infection and is modeled after some elements in 28 Days Later, and is
called 28 Days Holdout. The zombies try to kill all the humans, of course, but this has a twist.
Most buildings and generally the whole area of the map is blocked off
except the beach. There is a mine field of fusion coils, that respawn
quickly and have a chain reaction effect. Behind this there is a base for
the humans. A wall is just tall enough so that nobody can jump over it,
but shoot the zombibes. The humans, on their side of the wall, have access
to equipment, grenades, and some guns. But the zombibes can still get in from the left. If they can make it
around the wall, there is a row of open containers that form a hallway
into the Human base. Also, if they’re desperate, the surviving humans can go through a
teleporter in their base, but can’t come back through. It leads into the
high-up building beside the Big Wheel, but the exits are blocked off. This
should be used as a Last Resort (heh, that must be why they named it that)
to survive, because once you’re there, you will either die or run out of
ammo. I’ll put this in my File Share ASAP.
Thanks guys. Keep on Fragin Trucks in HD.

Hey Guys aw man my friend and I were making this map the other day on
Narrows and we were messing around and we made this awsome map.. I call it
Cannon Battle and the gametype is called The Fun Part” idk why lol but
anyways I set it up so when you go off the Man Cannon you dont stop going
until you fall off or die.(I put grav lifts right were you land)
Its alot of fun just to throw a random gernade and stick people. you
should check it out on my file share

Me and some buddies worked on a infection variant on highground, it’s
called Human survival. I don’t want to ruin the map surprises. All you
need to do to the variant is set zombies to 150 speed, 150 gravity, no
shields, and extra damage turned on.
http://www.bungie.net/stats/Halo3/FileShare.aspx?gamertag=LairdSVF

Well, it’s not really a custom map, but me, jp, and deadly have made a
couple maps, High Ground and valhalla, where to a certain degree, you can
get out. You can fly up to some hights, and make a tank a sumberine. the
maps are still being worked on, but so far, they are really cool. If you
wanna help us find ways to get out of other maps, send me a message.
Also, i have a custom game. It’s called 28 days later. It’s infection
where the zombie is very weak but super fast. You guys should TOTALLY
check it out.

Hey guys, it’s llama with a sweet custom game called whack-a-mole. First
you need to use forge to line three (2-way) teleporters up side by side.
Then make a gravity hammer spawn right next to them. Then play on that
map. Have one person get the gravity hammer and sit in front of the
teleporters. Then have 3 other people pop in and out of the teleporters.
The guy with the gravity hammer has to try to smash them as they pop out.
Then see who can kill all of the moles the fastest. To make it funner try
having more then 3 teleporters or just spread them out. Hope you have fun
whacking!

I should have the gametype on my fileshare soon, so send an f/r to
TerminatorLlama.

Keep on fraggin’ one footed purple bellied squirrels.

I made a Forge variant I call “Dodge This!” It works on any map that
supports vehicles. It’s Team Slayer, and all the spawn points are in one
area. Everyone will be on red team and be spartans, save for one person
who will be a monitor on blue team. The object of the game is for the
monitor to kill multiple people by dropping vehicles on them, or if you
are on red team, to dodge the vehicles. Obviously there are boundaires, so
red team can’t just go to the other side of the map, they must stay within
the borders set by the spawn points. Red team players get a point if they
dodge a vehicle and lose a point if they get crushed. The monitor gains a
point for every group crushed (groups must consist of 2 or more people to
count.) Happy crushing!

hey guys its Lancelot59 again and I’ve got a good custom game for you.
Based off the story I told last week. I call it “Cannon Captains” This
gametype can only be realistically played on Narrows in Forge, with 5
lives and instant respawn. Basic Rules:
So you have two teams, on the half of the map with the man cannons (the
left side I think). When you start out you designate a “Cannon Captain”
and the object of the game is to kill the “Cannon Captain”. The Captain
along with the majority of your team stand in the area in front of each
man cannon where stuff that goes through lands. You are not allowed to
shoot at the opposing team, however you ARE allowed to shoot at the crap
they fling through their man cannon. Their are two crews in this game. The
defence crew takes up most of your team and stands in the receiving area
with the Cannon Captain. The captain is allowed to use a sniper rifle for
binocular purposes only. The defense crew’s job is to stop incoming items
from killing your captain. Then you have the gun crew. As per orders of
the gun captain your monitor is responsible for spawning items for you to
throw through the man cannon. Usually this takes only two people to load
and fire with the monitor spawning stuff in the background. Optional
Mongoose to help with the loading.
Your cannon captain has been killed three times the other team can move
onto the centre bridge and have their monitor spawn a grav lift there to
fling stuff through. Here’s the twist though. When the monitor is over the
bridge you ARE allowed to shoot at it and people on the bridge. When the
captain has died 5 times the other team is then allowed to cross the
bridge then own and pwn you (yes I invented own and pwn myself for future
reference when everyone is saying it)!
It is complicated but when setup properly it is a real fun time. Sorry but
I don’t have a XBL account so you’re gonna have to do this one manually.
Keep on fraggin shenanigan buttons.

My game is called brokeback joust. it consists of 2 mongosse’s ,gravity
hammers and 50% gravity on Narrows. Just think four people all on two
mongoose’s with low gravity. At oposite ends go onto the man cannon then
in midair cloide while swinging their hammers. Hopefully you will get a
nice screenshot. Me and my friend tried this but the mongoose idea came
later cause his friend got RRoD.

Hey podtacular, i want to tell you about a forge variants that i used for a
film i just made, it is called news on High Ground which me and my friends
made our first episode of our news show called Halo news troopers which is
on youtube. the map was not to different then the original map but in the
main building to the left of the gate if you are outside is set up for the
news studio, we are going to film on a new map each weekenand the next
episode is going to be on Last Resort. the map is not on my file share yet
since my friend MIXnMATT made but i will put it on later so CYA.
Gamertage: Jurassicdl3

This game type is a assault match. It is based on Last Resort. You spawn
on the beach and the offense team will grab the bomb in the “armory.” The
only way in is through the teleporters. You grab the bomb and the run the
bomb to the spot where the sword is in Halo 2 and a powerup is in Halo 3.

PS: I did not come up with this on my own. ClownX was there too.

You can find it in my fileshare. 150% movement speed, 50% gravity and
random weapons.

my map i created is called run for cover and its on high ground, its a very
fun map for infection game
types!(http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=13569923)it has a
boxes guarding the turret on the bridge and above that is another turret
with barriers along with br’s and a sniper rifle.theres a portal that
leads behind the bridge above the circular room that also has a
turret!theres another portal in the pipe room which leads to the beach
where theres a mini base filled with rockets. spartan laser, shotguns, and
sniper rifles, along with a turret and barriers! one last thing in the
middle of the map is a line of fusion coils with a ramp so mongooses can
jump them! i also made a game variant for my map called black
zombies!(http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=13569836)hope u
guys check it out, and keep on fraggin trucks!

Hey guys, this is unr3alchi3f and I am here to share with you the revived
team bubblebath! If you do not know that team bubblebath is, it’s an all
needler team slayer match. In my forged map, you all spawn in a area of
the water facing the other team (instead of spawning in random places and
going to the water like in halo 2) and just shooting the crap out of each
other. First to 100 kills wins. And there are only 2 teams maximum in a
game. This game is guerenteed to be very chaotic when you get a 16 player
match and maybe can just make your 360 choke (just like in halo 2) as your
360 tries to process all the moving needles. (Make sure the water is around
100 degrees so that its just right!)

Also, I would like to share my infection gametype, 28 Days Later. This
gametype will make zombies move at 300% and 50% gravity while the humans
are 25% slower than how fast they usually move and with 100% gravity.
However, they have the battle rifle and smg, and starting grenades, with
the ability to kill zombies in 1 shot. The last man standing will be able
to move just like the zombies and will have unlimited ammo. This is so
that the last person can have a chance rather than being surrounded by the
10+ zombies surrounding you.

Both of these games are really fun and addicting. Hope you have fun with
them!
Also, I want to mention real quick a forged map… BOOM4, basically a
stress test for your 360, download this and go to camp froman, shoot out a
grenade and let the continuous explosions do the rest!

All of these games and maps are found on my file share!

Hey guys love the show this is more of a shout for help than a comment but
i loved swat in halo 2 and i’ve create a custom version of The Pit with a
gametype similar to swat but i need help refining it and trying to make it
functional so if anyone wants to give it a try give me there feedback i’d
be thankfull. Thats about it thanks
Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi

I made a map variant and gametype called Arctic Zombies. on snowbound i
blocked off a few entrances. humans spawn underground with shotties, AR,
and magnums, and they start with magnums. SMGs in the bases, BRs on the
bases in zombie spawns. Zombies shouldnt move barriers. they are white and
have poor camo. Played with ten people at a party and it was the favorite
of the night. I put it in the forums, and ill have it available until
november. My Gamertag is Tens Bol Monstr if u want to go directly to my
fileshare. Enjoy.

Hey Podtacular, this is Pengwin Smacker. I’m just here to submit my Last
Resort variant custom-made for Team Bubblebath! I took all the spawn
points off the map except for the ones by the beach, and added some more
by the beach. I have a game variant of Team Bubblebath that I got from JP
Oliver, but he later said that it wasnt a finished variant, so if you want
the finished variant, talk to JP. If you want my map, send me a message at
Pengwin Smacker (with a “w” instead of a “u” in Pengwin), and I will put
the map on my File Share for you to download. Thanks Podtacular, and keep
on fragging trucks. Go Rec E!!

Spikeball and Arenas.

Virtually a Halo Dodgeball, Spikeball consists of two teams, each with
their own side of an arena. The object of the game is to eliminate the
opposing team by sticking each member with spike grenades. Once a team is
completely eliminated, a new round begins and the chaos ensues once again.
Special fire grenades spawn at 45 second intervals in the center, offering
an easier (and more satisfying) elimination for those quick enough to grab
them. I never expected this gametype to gain this much popularity. Since it
is now so widespread, I have created a Spikeball Tournament Arena, which is
basically the original Spikeball Arena with spawns and spike set equal
distances from the centerline, offering a fair and level playing field.
Enjoy!

I made a map for the gametype Fight Night which was famous in Halo 2 on
lockout. It’s called Boxing Paranoia.
It is set on the center platform on Guardian. There is a teleporter on
each exit that are all on the same channel so you don’t know which one
they will come out of if you follow someone through it. Everyone spawns in
the center so it is more intense and fast paced! The game is made mainly
for a huge party of 10-16. It is on my fileshare slots 5 and 6
(http://www.bungie.net/stats/Halo3/FileShare.aspx?gamertag=Paranoid%20Sarge).

For my review of Forge, which you can read on Podtacular.com, I wanted to
make a map variant that changes the way it is played. I call it “Fast
Escape CTF”. The main change is that both flag spawns and capture points
have been moved right next to the man cannons. The sniper has been removed
but a Spartan laser can be found in the middle along with two firebombs. A
few extra carbines, BRs and fusion cores are placed around the map. Each
team has a hammer near their spawn points and the central hammer has been
replace by a shotgun and needler. It’s on my fileshare…try it our and
let me know what you think. It may make for interesting Slayer games too
but I haven’t tested that.

In the year 2057, children will not play Football, Soccer, or Basketball.
No, those games are far too simplistic for the adolescent youth of
tomorrow. These kids will play a dangerous game known as HOLDOUT.

In Holdout, a randomly assigned Very Irritated Potato (or VIP), must
travel to a Checkpoint guarded by the defending team. This defending team
must stop the VIP and his team from reaching this checkpoint. While the
VIP and his buddies have vehicles and an assortment of high-powered
weaponry, the defending team has equipment, Spartan Lasers, Snipers, and
Turrets.

This gametype can only be played on a variant of High Grounds called Last
Defense. This forged map variant was created by Zen Master Brent Gamer in
the year 2056 to combat the boredom being displayed by the troubled and
overweight youth when they decided that sports were no longer fun. It is
rumored that Zen Master Brent still lurks around on Last Defense, waiting
to fry the Very Irritated Potato with his Spartan Laser.

This map variant and gametype can be found on my file share at the link
provided:

Hey, Yeti Hunter here, just recently signed up on the forums but have been
a long time listener. I’m writing in to give out my custom game and map
for the game type.
The game type is simply called Zombies but has pistols and shotguns like
in the 2nd edition of zombies on Halo 2 (first was just shotguns).
Zombies: have shields that don’t regenerate, use sword, and that’s about
it. Non Infected Players: have shields that regenerate slowly, start with
pistols and can pick up weapons on the map, and have 200% damage increase.

Now for the map…
The map is also called Zombies and is located on High Ground. Humans
start mainly at the beach and Zombies start at the back of the base. There
are random crates and barrels throughout the map (some you may want to
watch out for :p ), 3 teleporters, 1 custom power up and many other things
you’ll have to find for yourself :).
So enjoy, and keep on fraggin zombies…

Me and one of my friends love to play spike ball together. So I came up
with the idea of making spikeball for 16 people. So I made an arena for 4
on each team. It is a big square that is split in the middle both ways. It
is awesome. It is still being tested but it will soon be on my fileshare.
Thanks and keep on fraggin’.

Firstly, that name is pronounced lick-tun-ate-us. Don’t go there, it’s not
safe. Obviously that’s a gamertag rather than a real name.

Obviously, a game that has to be mentioned is “Organ Trail”. I didn’t
create it (all credit must go to Jiggy Mastera and xShinrax for that), but
it is one hell of a gametype. It’s played in sandtrap, and is a pair of
custom gametype and map.

Essentially, a group of humans have to make their way to a base using an
elephant, and once there, must survive the zombie onslaught. Oh, and the
zombies are super-fast.

It’s a nice simple idea, but it works really well. I’ve only played it
with a total of 7 people, but supposedly it’s even better when there are
more of you.

Map:
http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=13225521&viewreplies=true&postRepeater1-p=1
Gametype: http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=13283041

Also made by Jiggy and xShinrax is their new game “Orphanage”. Also
infection, played in Isolation, there are two defense teams in two
separate rooms, each with multiple entry points for zombies, and with a
2-way teleporter connecting the two rooms.

Map: http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=13664364
Gametype: http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=13664459

Finally, I’d like to promote my Infection gametype “Evil Evolved”. the
name was based on the idea of Resident Evil (zombies) and Combat Evolved
(Halo). It’s essentially Infection where all zombies are shield-less,
vehicles are inoperable, and weapon respawns are turned off. Pretty nasic,
but oh so much fun.

I’m also in the process of converting all the smaller maps into “human
weapons only” (swapping Maulers for magnums and Spikers for SMGs etc.) for
the gametype, as I personally think that Infection should be played with
traditional human weaponry (or not so much, in the case of the Spartan
laser).

The gametype can be found in my fileshare
(http://www.bungie.net/stats/Halo3/FileShare.aspx?gamertag=Lichtonatus)
and the maps will be uploaded at some point in the near future (I hope).

It can be found in my fileshare (

the idea is that the two defense teams must stay in communication and keep
each side equally defended via the teleporter, because if one defense team
is killed, that opens up another way for zombies to get into the remaining
team’s room.

LAZER CATS REVAMPED!!! Spartan Lasers, Gravity Hammers, Unlimited ammo,
300% speed, 50% gravity, grenade regeneration, on Valhalla. It’s the
greatest ever, once I played it for 2 hours straight!

Wrap up
