I’ve been in a hissy fit about Halo 2 in all it’s cons but Halo 3 is looking to finally kick that nasty stigma out of my head. I mean it’s looking really nice. The video documentary was VERY cool and I have to get one comment out and hopefully the guy in the video gets to hear this.

To the guy who cries on his desk, go cry some more… just kidding, here goes…I’m with you about the huge expectation your game has please take your time with this game the public may say they want it now but they really want it done RIGHT. Everyone wants your game out the door tomorrow but if it’s shipped with not only the glitches of a typical game but the horrible game play that accompanies some games that live and die on the 360 almost overnight everyone will hate it and BLAME YOU for releasing it too early despite the fact they’re egging you on.

i was watchin the Vidoc n i got 2 the part where it showed the shield
grenade. In the clip, it showed the shield rollin call it was on a hill.
This got me thinking. Can you make the shield grenade roll down a hill and
splater a guy. I can see it now, u splaterin a guy with a shield bubble
cause ur low on ammo.

bubble shield, new shape, physics, focus of shield, portable shield wall

Wow. I watched the Beta video and I was blow away. Even though it is just
an alpha build the graphics still look amazing. I love the equipment
option with the personal grav lift, shield bubble and trip mine. I’m just
curious to see how it will be implemented…if it will you’ll spawn with
one of each or it will be like rockets and located at a specific area of
the map.

trip mine, deployables: x button and deployables, possible new ones, deployables are on map

One thing I noticed is behind the guy who is talking and gesturing around
the 2:40 mark is a screen that says “Custom Games” It says on the screen
Game: Escort. Whether this is a new game type or just a custom game from
bungie (like Zombies) remains to be seen. Also of note the map name is
called “Warthog, INC” Maybe it’s a codename for a map or maybe it’s a map
specifically made for warthogs (like the Race gametype from Halo 1)

custom game: escort. Warthog, Inc.? Placeholder?

the gadgets look amazing and include the following:

1. Portable Grav Lift

deployable grav lift

2. Trip Mine
3. Shield Grenade

The PGF can toss the player about a good 10 feet into the air. The Mine is
powerful enough to take out a warthog and probably the shields on a tank.
And the shield grenade is not static but dynamic and can roll and move
with the ground. From the look of it you cant shoot in or out of it.

Overall the game looks amazing. grenades remind me of Halo 1 and the new
AR looks like a machine gun BR that does less damage. Looks like a great
game!

dual-wielding vs. assault rifle?

i think that that deploy equipment means things like the trip mine, and the
bubble shield. The Halo 3 Beta is gonna be SWEET!!!! I really need to get
Crackdown now. Keep on Fraggin Weenus Masters.

First of all, I think trip mines are a great idea. I thought of something
like them that would be cool before. The shield grenade is going to be fun
to play with. I think the shield grenade will be hurt by fire and not
invinsible. I think the grav lift thing will be the thing someone posted
pictures of on halo grid (Where the guy jumped in one that like appeared
from nowhere and whacked the guy on the turret). I think 3 weeks is way
less than I expected for the beta, but it will be long enough considering
thats like all im going to be doing. (or am I…the world may never know).
Im going to end up sharing the beta with a few friends because they won’t
just sit there and watch and would probaly steal the controller. The time
from when halo 2 maps are released to the time when the beta comes out, I
AM going to be playing the new halo 2 maps. What really looked really cool
is not the gameplay, but the ability to play back clips, slow them down, and
freeze the screen. I have always wanted to view that kind of stuff, but I
never did buy a capture card. I will make sure to look at the water. I
guess I can stop checking bungie.net everyday hoping for the beta to come
out now. Also, I got into the beta via rule of 3 and again when I bought
crackdown just for the game. It would be cool if I could download the
beta, have my friend sign in on his free 30-day xbox live gold account,
put in crackdown and both of us could play the beta on seperate gamertags
(or guests could sign in), but I doubt that would happen. Btw, my gamertag
is Sports209 and yet I am sitting here on the computer writing about video
games.

replays!

I love the idea of the bubblemap and the tripmine since in the previous
Halo games when you were getting shot from behind you can fight back but
you know you’ll probably die. But with the bubblemap and the tripmine now
you have a chance to counter their attacks and forces players to change
their tactics.

To start off i forgive you for not getting to my last submission on Episode
108. But anyway i just recently watched the new Vid Doc and i am so
friggen excited Ba Bam i think i almost crapped my pants again. The trip
mines and bubble shield look pretty sweet. And about the maps they look
pretty bad ass considering i still dont have a 360 =( w00t for Xbox 1

Keep on Fraggin Wenises

On April 10th, 2007, Bungie unleashed a storm of Halo 3 Beta information
onto it’s adoring fans. Many of those fans are reported to have passed out
on the spot after reading the Bungie article, while others had to change
their pants due to various excrements leaking through their underwear.
Even worse reports state that some young men were forced to wear their
sister’s jeans, because they didn’t have a clean pair of pants to change
into.

But after the tragedies brought on by the excitement of this joyous
occasion subsided, the comunity was left to ponder and debate the
information about the beta given to us by Frankie and the Multiplayer
ViDoc. I have successfully gathered the information from thesee debates,
and have put them into this report:

1. Frankie’s statement about the X-button being used for “Equipment
Deployment” obviously proves my theory that the button will open up a
hatch in your Spartan’s Metal Underoos, allowing him to take a whiz on an
unsuspecting rock or dead enemy.

2. The Bubble Shield runs off of Beach Volleyball technology. This tech
simulates a nerd walking down the beach holding an inflatable volleyball,
thus preventing anyone from wanting to touch him. Or smell him for that
matter.

3. Portable Grav Lifts will act as the Viagra of the future, supplementing
the Man-Cannon in effectiveness. Please contact your doctor if the
Man-Cannon remains in an upright position for more than four hours.

4. When a Spartan steps on a Trip Mine, a minigame sequence begins in
which the Spartan must play a game of Mine Sweeper in his HUD to prevent
being blown up. Too bad your enemy will have already assassinated you by
then.

These features and more will be fully playable on the Public Beta starting
May 16th!

Ok. First of all you notice around 2:45 into the video that it reveals the
name of a new map and gametype.

The map was called WARTHOG INC., which could indicate a Warthog factory of
some sort, which might turn to be an interesting small map if done right,
which also brings me to my next point.

In one of the past WWU’s, they did a profile of the UNSC Warthog. In this
profile they mentioned DETACHABLE WEAPONS on the warthog. In the first few
seconds of the ViDOC (the blues attacking the base on high ground), you
notice that, in fact, one of the blue spartans attacking the base is
wielding A WARTHOG MACHINE GUN! See for yourself! This could make the map
Warthog Inc. pretty sweet with detachable warthog parts around. Could this
indicate the return of the Rockethog from Halo PC? Maybe…

detachable turrets! vidoc 1(covenant) and vidoc 2(human)

Another thing indicated in the ViDOC at the same time as the map name was
revealed, was a new gametype called ESCORT. I’m thinking this is going to
be a make of the popular gametype, known as President. Take the special
person to the evac point to win the round. Hopefully this will provide
just as much fun in the other gametypes in the beta!

bridge map with underlevel shortcuts: assault on control room

One thing that I’m not sure many people will talk about is the awesome
quality of the audio for the new Halo 3. The first time I watched the
VidDoc I was astounded at the awesome multiplayer happenings appearing in
front of my eyes. But after watching it multiple times, I realized that
what really sunk in to me was the awesome new audio I was hearing. Marty
has done it again…the audio was spectacular from the new falling
animations and death animations to gun sounds and grenade explosions. It
blew my mind away. If you can’t already guess, I am stoked about this
beta and cannot wait to get my hands on it.

audio

After watching the new vidoc and the new vision og the bubble shield got
me thinking, Will we be able to shoot out of it when its active?, if so
would it equal an entire team stocking up on Bubble shield(s) and having a
easy walk across the map with the other teams flag?.

grenade doesn’t kill bubble shield. time limit on it? can you pick it up after deployed? can it be destroyed by firepower?

I think the new machinima feature will be extremely useful. It would save
people from having to hack the game to get a fly cam, and also the
time-freeze and slow-motion would add a lot of fun cinematic elements that
used to be really hard to produce. Second, the hilarious way that the
body’s and other objects now move add a lot of realism. The man-cannon
isn’t what I thought it would be. I thought it would be like those cannons
from Mario 64. Also on top of this if they added more advance machinima
controls, like the ability to have pre-animated guestures and the ability
to move the head seperately that would greatly help out. Keep on fragging trucks.

Bungie’s own Frank made a post over at NeoGaf to clear up some questions
regarding the Halo 3 graphics as well as the X button functionality.

All of the water you saw, for example, is placeholder. No decorators are
in those maps. The frame rates are all over the place. Some of that
footage has correct lighting, some of it doesn’t. All of that footage is
olde. Although Snowbound looks about the most recent, it’s missing new
shaders and wind effects, as well as more subtle touches in the
architecture.

The textures on High ground are very old, as is the general appearance of
Valhalla.

graphics

Bubble Shield and Tripmine are just two of the X-Button Equipment
deployments. They are not grenades.
I copied and pasted that from uncle gamer so give them the credit (or
NeoGaf) ;-)

Ok wow, it is no the time to get oficially psyched for Halo 3… as if you
werent already.

There is way too much awesome stuff for me to fit into 1 message, so i’ll
just get to what I think is cool.
1. The Bubble Sheild: Ok so based purely on the size of this thing I think
it’ll be one of the “deployable weapons” that frankie was talking about,
and not a grenade (I think the last grenade slot will be filled with the
trip mines). I think that there will be 1-2 per map (depending on size and
such)and that they possibly might take up a weapon slot. I think that this
would be fair as based on the alpha footage we’ve seen the radius of the
shield can easily cover a well coordinated team, so it would make sense
that 1 person would sacrifce a weapon to pick it up instead of a weapon.

weapon vs. equipment?

2. Replay tools: I have been really amped about these kind of features
ever since they were first promised in PDZ and, if I remember correctly,
Halo 2. Since i’ve already written plenty o’ stuffs I think i’ll leave it
at that. I cant wait to see what the guy’s at Red Vs. Blue and This
Spartan Life can do with these new tools.

I personally really like what Bungie is doing with the bubble shield, mine,
and grav pad. All 3 of these will make players have to rethink strategies
and unlock a completely new style of gameplay. Now, campers will not have as easy of a time because if they start
shooting you in the back, you can use a bubble shield(granted you have
one). Strategies for planting the bomb and capturing the flag will be altered
because of the capabilities of the grav pad. In the Vidoc, a player that
used the grav pad, was able to go high enough to land on the bridge with
the turret on High Ground. Defenses will now need to be more aware now
that new wall scaling capabilities are possible.
The mine is another great weapon that can be used with game changing
affects. In Halo 2, you needed to be able to have someone who could be
responsible for every entrance and exit, but now, you can cover an
entrance by laying a mine there which in turn disables use of quick
in-and-outs by vehicles. Even if they avoid the mine or get out of the
vehicle, you will probably have ample time to recover and get ready for
the assault.
Keep up the good work guys, you are the r0xx0rz and a Shoutout to all of
REC E.

hangar map

About the deployment thing. I think it is pretty cool, but I also think
some of us expected more. Although I like the idea of setting a tripmine
infront of a warthog and blowing it up. I also liked how big the bubble
shield is. If you look at one part of the video for highgrounds there is a
spartan flying in the air. and if you pause it, below him is a mini
gravlift. mabey that is another thing you can drop.

needler two hands, assault rifle one hand

As you can tell, the x button will be able to drop 3 things. I just wanted
to say, i think you will use the d-pad to choose which thing you drop:
1.bubble shield
2.trip mine
3.portable grav-lift (i belive that is the third thing)

future deployables? turret?

I think the thing I liked the most was the X-button, deploy action. It
gives the player a different strategy in fighting the enemy. I think the
mines and bubble shield is going to play a significant role especially in
MLG.

As for the “man-cannon”, I think it is a good starting platform to get to
the other side, but in mid game, you’re probably going to get shot down. We didn’t get to see the spartan lazer firing, but I guess we’ll see that
in the beta.

Shoutout to Foo, JVB, the hosts of the show, and to the POD PC clan.

halo 1 pistol

wow. well when i hear deployment, i think of deploying a large, mounted
weapon. maby a poratple 50 cal? the bubble is amazing. bungie, you guys
just love killing us in anticipation. can’t wait for demo (if me and
Joedaddy get crackdown that is)
Keep on fraging trucks full of noobs!
-JoeJr1338

Ps. Joedaddy is my dad, so shout out to him and all of you guys in
godtactular!

notifications: shows where was killed, icons for medals

I personally think that the beta is a bit short, and am disappointed that
there are no custom games. I was looking forward to experimenting the beta
with my friends with a casual game, but it looks like that won’t be
happening since only Matchmaking is available. All in all, I think the
beta is only three weeks long because Bungie is trying to get people to
buy the new maps. I may be a fan of Halo, but there is no chance of me
buying those new maps just to wait it out until the full release. I
suppose that’ll be a few more weeks of playing around with Oblivion and
Crackdown.

 1. sword dual wield

I think it has something to do with the outhouse. Press x to throw someone
in and tip over the outhouse with them in it. Look also for the big
announcement of a smell-o-vision add on to the 360 with a lovely Kaka de
Poo and Golden Shower.

New Vidoc:

That new video was the shiz nizzle, it fragged all of the trucks outside
my house and made my babamed chestnuts explode AGAIN!

I think that what Frankie said about the X button being a “deploy
equipment” button is closely related to what Foo Mo thought the X button
was gonna be: a power up button. But instead of activating power ups,
it’ll activate a certain piece of equipment that you’re carrying. For
example: you find some equipment, such as a bubble shield or a trip mine,
and you press X to activate it. In the case of the bubble shield, it’ll
fall to the ground and the shield will come out, encasing you and
protecting you from enemy fire. In the case of the trip mine, it’ll fall
to the ground and explode once somebody or something moves over it. I
think that there will be multiple pieces of equipment on the map, that
will respawn regularly, because this new game mechanic is going to be a
huge element of gameplay, and I think that Bungie wants players to use
this new mechanic. Just like Epic Games wanted players to use cover in
Gears of War, because it was a huge element of gameplay. I think that the
D-pad will be used to select what equipment you want to use. Left for the
bubble shield, right for the trip mine, and down for the grav pad. As far
as the grav pad, I think that it will be a small platform that you place
in the air. You can stand on it and control it as if it were a vehicle. I
think that it will only go to a certain hight, though, to avoid players
exploiting it and accessing areas of the map that are not supposed to be
accessed. It will be useful in situations such as getting past the gate on
High Ground, you could float right over it.
I think that power ups like the Over Shield and Active Camo will remain
the same as they are: you walk over them and they are activated. This is
to avoid confusing moments where you’d have to cycle through all of your
equipment and powerups.

The new recording feature is gonna pwn all kinds of nubs. In the video, it
was described as a feature that records all of your games, so I’m not sure
if players will be able to manipulate it and use it to record machinima.
But, in my opinion, I think that Bungie thinks that machinima is good
publicity and is a great aspect of the community. I think that they will
provide tools for machinima making.

Halo 3 beta is on the way!:

The beta is gonna ROCK! Bungie is so awesome for doing this. I do have a
problem with the 3 week time window, though. I thought, as did others,
that Bungie was using the beta to find out glitches, bugs, and other
aspects of the game that they would not want in the full release… but 3
weeks doesn’t really seem like a long enough time for that. But, then
again, 3 maps isn’t that many maps, so the beta would not really give them
that much feedback anyway, because it contains a limited number of maps.
Even though the hype for Halo 3 is staggering already, I think that
Microsoft wants this beta out for even more hype, and Bungie wants it out
for the community. I believe that this may be Bungie’s way of saying thank
you. I could be wrong, but, given the amount of time that the beta will be
out, I believe that those are the reasons for the beta. Bungie could
possibly extend the time limit, or re-release it later down the line, but
for now, those are my thoughts. I guess the new maps will have to hold us
over, then.

valhalla fusion core by man cannon, broken trees, crashed pelican

The new ‘gadgets’ shown in the vidoc are going to key elements in Halo 3
multiplayer. One of my favorites was the personal grav-lift. Just
imagine: you’re being chased by a warthog and you run into a wall. Instead of being splattered, you simply drop the grav-lift and jump to
safety.

Shout-outs this week go to ChuckieJ and the Godtacular Bible crew, and I
ROBiNSON I. Keep on fraggin’ trucks.

Hey guys just wanted to write about some things I noticed in the vidoc.
First the bubble shield in the vidoc is different than the bubble shield
we love in the commercial, now it looks like a beach ball. This is however
the alpha and might be changed for the beta. Second the assault rifle now
sounds imposing compared to the Halo CE AR. Also as I’m sure some people
noticed towards the beginning of the vidoc I noticed a Spartan holding a
warthog turret, this would be a nice addition and would explain the brute
holding the plasma turret in the brute vidoc but what everyone doesn’t
want is someone running around with a gauss cannon getting overkills, so
there will probably be something to even things out. Along with this the
turret comes off separately when it is destroyed in the vidoc so this
might be the way you obtain a turret. On the subject ot the trip mine, it
will add a little more strategy to CTF, territories, etc. And finally
about the graphics, towards the end they were pretty crisp and this was
the alpha so the graphics in the beta should be very good. Along with the
new maps, the vidoc was very good. I think that is all, keep on fraggen
trucks.

everybody’s running around with ARs! They must be a formidable weapon!

Hey guys this is SGT Corona and my first post….. YAY!!!!!.Anyways,I was
surprised to see the shield grenade in the new vidoc. Although its a beta
I hope that that isn’t the actual size of the grenande. Can’t wait to play
it.
Shout outs to Rec D, Foomojive and JVB. Keep on frag’n nubs inside
port-o-potties.

If I am excited about Halo 3, it’s because I’m eagerly waiting to see how
they work the third part of this series story line. The last installment
was a bit of a letdown for me. Granted it was much more challenging and
they had a different side to the story, the Arbiter. But by the time I
finished the game, I didn’t feel the same sense of accomplishment and
worth from the game as I did with Halo: Combat Evolved.

you’re not the only one. it wasn’t quite an empire strikes back.

With regards to the multiplayer side of Halo 3, I would say I’m just
interested in seeing what they add and/or change. I’m just not too
excited about getting a controller in my hands to play the game just to
get my butt kicked by a guy who has only had the game for a week with a
kill-death ratio of 24-0, just like Halo 2’s multiplayer turned out.

hey podtacular its Daboog I can’t wait for the beta.
There is one question I want to ask you guys
is it going to show us what the x button does
if so tell me.
thanks for reading my letter.
keep on babaming wet towels with bacon waffles.

hello podtacular this is SGO well heres what i think about the halo 3 beta
personaly being in the beta i hope and pray to god that they don’t make
this some crazy tactical pooeynutlog it would ruin the game. as long as
they still have that same “run and gun” feeling that we gamers know and
love it will be fine. i hope that this Deploy Stuff Button doesn’t
turn halo into a tom clancy style game. aside from my worrys i do belive
that bungie knows what there doing so i will leave the fate of the game in
there hands. shot outs to angle leviathan, green eggs and sam, and
sqweryl(cause hes funny :))

halo: run and gun, stop and pop, or somewhere in between?

I haven’t seen anything about Bungie confirming the grav-lift, but Frankie
did say that three equipments were shown in the video they released. If
you watch the short clip starting 22 seconds into the start of the video,
you’ll see a grav lift on High Ground that obviously doesn’t normally
exist in front of the gate.

As for the beta, I know most people are going to complain that it’s only 3
weeks long. Keep in mind that you get what you paid for. So either you got
in for free, or you paid for Crackdown.
We’ve seen nothing of the rocket launcher for Halo 3 which is great. It
should take more skill to take out a hog team, and the spartan laser
appears to require that skill.

There are several things i saw in the video. There is a new design for the
br. there is a point you can see a spartan welding a warthog chain gun it
is only for a moment but it is there. The carbine appears to fire at a much
faster rate. There is lots of concept art and shots on computer screens of
things such as a human hover craft and tripod gun that may be something of
just concepts. Love the podcast guys keep on fragging trucks.

what? carbine faster? human hovercraft?

Hey Podtacular, I thought the vidoc was really cool and I was happy that
they showed so much in game footage. One thing i noticed at 7:02, there
seemed to be on the guy’s screen a modified Sniper Rifle, more like the
Halo 1 edition.

sniper scome more like halo 1

Hey my Peeptaculars,

I actually haven’t watched the new ViDoc yet, but it is downloading as we
speak…

As for the Beta details, I CAN’T WAIT!!!!!! I’ve added at least 15 new
friends from Podtacular on my friends list to play the Halo 3 Beta with.
And the best part… IT COMES OUT THREE DAYS BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY!!! I can’t
wait to play with Foo Mo and everyone else on my list. (If you want to play
with me, my GT is lilkuke) And I would play with JVB if he accepted my
friend request. (It’s okay man, it’s all good. ;)

Anyway, I think that 3 weeks is just perfect for the beta because they
don’t want to give too little away (2 weeks, in my opinion) or too much (A
month, in my opinion)

That will give us just enough time to try out the beta because they don’t
want to overflow us with what we need to correct or give suggestions. I
think it will be sweet and fun.
And I also want to add a little segment about my 13 calls recently. As
some of you have seen in the forums, I couldn’t stop laughing at my little
“segment”. I will try to cut back a lot! And also, those calls were
collected from about 3-4 months of not being on the show. I swear I will
never do that again!
Happy Belated Easter everyone.

Shoutout to Marine 3000, who won my first ever game on oddtunes, ending my
misery, and to SGO Lonewarrior, for showing me Oddtunes. For those of you
who don’t know what Oddtunes is, ask Foo Mo or SGO Lonewarrior ;)

Keep on Loneing Bananafones…

little…short. I know that it’s just a Beta and all, but, for all the
hype, it will only be available for 21 days (And yes that was correctly
punctuated). The Beta could have been made to be at least 1 month.

Vidoc: This tasty treat has left everyone mouthwatering and jumping for
joy. However, it was probably released when it was to distract us from
the fact that the Beta will be around for such a short time.

I just wanted to say that I am pumped for the H3 Beta comin’ out. I think
that 3 weeks is a little bit too short and they should have gone on for
another week or so. My opinion on the deployment button is that it’s
something to do with the shield grenade or the trip mine that you see in
the Vidoc (which looks awesome by the way). Anyway take it easy.

Hey guys, Arcade Wizard here. I don’t think I can wait any longer for the Beta, it’s gonna be rad. One thing that looks really cool, is that snow hanger level they showed clips of. If you notice, it looks EXACTLY like those bridges you had to cross again and again in “assault on the control room” from Halo 1. Has anyone else noticed that? I’m also excited for the “deploy equipment” x-button. I think this opens up SOO many possibilities for fresh gameplay and on-the-spot strategic moves. Like working together with your team to carefully place trip mines in vital parts of the map to give yourself the defencive edge in a CTF game. Or deploying a bubble shield when a wraith’s plasma cannon shot is rocketing at you. Also, I think the “grav-pad” is something you place on the ground and it creates a “low gravity” zone when you stand over it. So you could essentially jump through a high placed window in an enemies base for a sup rise ass ult or flag grab. I think the different “equipment” will function like grenades, you’ll able to hold a few of each at a time. New Halo 2 maps out in on Tuesday, Halo 2 Vista out on may 6th, and Halo 3 Beta out on may 16th. This is a golden time for Halo fans, especially for those who are a part of Podtacular. Stay magical and keep fraggin’ Tom Celic.

halo 2 vista may 6th, halo 3 beta may 16th to june 6th

I know a lot of people who are upset over the fact that the Halo 3 beta
test is only scheduled to run for less than a month. However, keep in mind
that this is just a beta TEST. Although I personally would’ve liked to see
it extend longer, I’m sure a month-long test is ample time for Bungie to
collect whatever information they need. Also note that this is something
Bungie didn’t really need to do in the first place. Those of us who are
fortunate enough to participate should just be happy that we’re getting to
preview the game a few months early for FREE. As for myself, I will be taking the first week off so that I can play
without interruption. So, send me a friend request, and we’ll frag some
next-gen trucks in HD.
Keep up the good work on the podcast, guys.
Shout out to FooMo’s cat.
And keep on fraggin meatloaf.

3 weeks

Sup fellas. I loved what I saw in the most recent Vidoc and cannot wait for
May 16th. I just wanted to clear up some common misconceptions that people
seem to have based on what Bungie has shown us so far.

The x button function does indeed deploy special items which are seen in
the vid (gravity lift, trip mines, bubble shield). These items will be
located in specific areas on the maps and will be limited in usage thus
preventing them from being abused. I’m most excited about the portable
gravity lift because it will make map navigation that much more tactical.

The graphics and weapon skins shown are indeed Alpha and approxiametly 2
years old according to the data on the bottom left hand corner of the
screen. So we might be in for some big surprises once the Beta drops next
month.

The Battle Rifle will be very different from the version that we all know
and love in Halo 2. It’s a 6SK with a slower ROF and has more range. It
will take on a more defined roll as opposed to the all purpose uber weapon
that it is now.

The sword seems to have an energy limit now but it is still unclear
whether or not it will be Duel Wieldable.

Bungie admits, yet again, that spawing with the SMG in MM was not
necessarily the best way to go in terms of MP gameplay.

The bubble shield only lasts for a few seconds and players are still
vulnerable to vehicular homocide and melee attacks including the sword
lunge.

The guns on vehicles can indeed be removed but have very limited ammo and
most likely will prevent you from carrying any other weapon.

The SMG actually looks and sounds pretty damned badass now.

The shotgun seems to be back to its true form now. Hopefully no more
lottery shotty. ;-)

how do you know?

And finally some advice to your listeners. Before crying about how one
particular feature, item, or weapon may be cheap or overpowered etc.
remember that everything will be customizable including the optimatch
system so you won’t have to play with these settings if you don’t want
to.

I love the man cannon, that is gonna be a really fun addition, Being able
to shoot someone with a sniper as they fly across the map would be awsome.
The killing would however be alot faster and it is a small cheat in forms
of getting killing sprees.
Something gives me the feeling that after atleast a few rounds and once
this game hits the shelves this is gonna be what EVERYONE is talking
about. I know i got my copy reserved for the release!

halo 2 maps

I was reading a update were frnakie said that they were going to reset the
rankings becuz of the maps. This sucks, not only becuz i just got my
ranking up to a 30. Now i will get matched up with people that were high
ranks and will just rape me and my other team mates.

Desolation: side ramps, ceiling open, lifts
tombstone: no front cave, destroyed new mombasa in the background
auto update is out with BFG9000 aka banhammer

most new playlists will need new maps
