KBC's Summer Blog (2)

Well Summer is halfway over. With only another month until school starts up again I thought I should write another entry to my blog.

This month's blog will cover everything from my clan, Love and Cuddles, to my adventures in the outside world. Enjoy!

Love and Cuddles

After almost six months with LaC we have done very little I will admit. As summer goes along though we are becoming way more active. I have recently become Co-Captain of LaC. Although I am one of the newest members of the team I have been more active on the Forums and on Xbox Live so thank you Jay for that! :D

But enough with all the boring stuff, lets hear about how we're doing.

We have been practicing more and just won our first game in the Podtacular Unofficial Summer Seasonal Tournament against Team Time Shift. Next week we play We Flush Twice, a team composed of RobinHood, Blobby, Tarheels, and Maester. I know that this will be a tough match for us but I know that if we get some strategies down and practice a little more we can win this match for sure.

Xbox Connect

After several months without it I have finally gotten off my lazy rump and fix my laptop. It now runs way faster than it used to and I can install more programs. One of which is Xbox Connect.

Xbox Connect allows you to play System Link games over the internet. It is basically like Xbox Live except you need to hook your computer up to your Xbox to play. The upside to it though is that its free!

I originally downloaded it to play my newly purchased Halo:Combat Evolved with other people but have found myself playing Halo 2 more on it. Xbox Connect makes it really easy to get a game. All you have to do is click on the room you want to enter and then log into it through the system link menu. It is much faster than waiting to find a game in MatchMaking.

Closed Circuit Gaming
Over the past few days the Podtacular IRC has implemented something that they have wanted to do for a while. That is to start their own community. We have called it Closed Circuit Gaming. It is a multi console gaming community where we can discuss gaming news, interesting news articles, and of course Off Topic posts just like in the IRC.

We hope to start doing a Bi-Weekly Podcast as well as a VideoCast to contribute to the site. Everyone in the IRC is very stoked about this community. To find out more about it visit the site Click Here or join our IRC Channel at #CCG on Bungie.org's server

Seasonal Tournament
As most of you have seen Podtacular is having yet another Seasonal Tournament. This one for the summer. The only differences between this and all the other ones though is that it isn't hosted by a site Admin.

So who is running this tournament? KBC of course.

It is a lot harder than I thought but I am liking every minute of it. Hopefully I can do more in the future. I always like tournaments, they're a great way to meet new people to play with.
