Revisiting clan positions, invites...

Hey guys, back with another Rec clan update...

Clan Positions

I've noticed that our good friend Megaman Zero 3 has gone inactive. Therefore, I have made the final decision to demote him of his Staff status. While we are on the same topic of clan status, I'd like to rethink the clan positions...

So here is our current line up (prior to the removal of Megaman, respectively)...

Kia - Overlord
JP Oliver, CARTS - Leaders
Rist, Megaman - Staff

Okay, so with the ability to select (as of right now) our own clan positions, I am open to suggestions as to what the clan positions should change to, if a change is needed. Personally, I think JP and CARTS are doing a very nice job handling the clan invites, but I think Rist should also be bumped up to be able to do so as well.

No offense, but Rist isn't as active as JP or CARTS (CARTS has been absent for several weeks now, however), so for right now, Rist you will remain as Staff. On the good side, I will contact CapnKrunk to see that you receive the Clan Invite emails as well, so you (rist) can help with the selection process. Over time, I plan on promoting another member to the clan staff position, but not right now...

Clan Invites

An idea I had is that we (Dial and myself), distribute the Xbox Live passport information, so that all of us (Myself, JP, CARTS) will be able to send out the invites. With this in mind, I also think that we should have a central place where we (the Rec staff) can see who's approved or not.

What would you say to posting the clan invites, or reports, as a group message to this group?

This would allow JP, CARTS, and myself to see everyone's thoughts in one stop, as well as allow Rist to post his approved/declined list.

And perhaps, with the help with some of the technical staff, even manage if the invites have been sent (shown below in Example A).

Example A:

Gamertag 1 - Invite Sent
Gamertag 2 - Invite Sent
Gamertag 3 - Pending...

This would save a lot of time in sending invites. Either this, or we could report back everytime we send clan invites, so we don't double up.

Clan Positions (Part II)

Okay, now lets return to the clan positions topic. Now I personally think (honestly) that the current Clan leaders think their job is really stupid and boring. I mean, think about it, all you guys do is read and approve (or deny). I def. don't like this, and I starting now I will be giving you guys more to do than just reading applications and sending emails.

Events

Leaders: You can feel free to host some events! Try to aim for events that will get even the less skilled players involved, so that everyone can have fun. I recently got into Grifball, so perhaps that might be fun? Its all up to you guys, start thinking up some events!

Rec Player of the Month

Our first player of the month has been chosen, and I will send him the questionnaire shortly after I am finished with this post. The first one will be an example. When it is posted, base off of it, and I will post instructions in this group on how its done!

Clan matches

Starting in the Spring, we will be having recreational clan matches against some other communities out there. In the time being, you could either think of some communities you have in mind, or contact them. It might be a bit early for contact, but you guys can start preparing.

Sending Clan Invites

Hopefully, if my idea works out, I'm going to get you guys sending clan invites as well as approving them. Well, its something.

Of course you guys can make up some ideas of your own. Until the clan invite ideas are finalized, please continue the current process. Thanks you guys, and please leave feedback.

Hey guys, I think that we should get a format to email me the reports so its easy and quick. I am hoping to ask Krunk for some special things we can use around the site to help, but for now, could you please send the reports to me in this format (or something like this)?

First of all, the Green Red idea was taken from JP Oliver, great idea man! Heres how it works...

The Green List is the Good List. :D

The Red List is the Bad list. They will be denied.

PLEASE SEND THE GAMERTAG; NOT THE USERNAME. This takes me FOREVER to find the gamertag. Astericks or some symbol allow you to tell me who I should watch out for, and list the reason below.

Okay, before we start discussion of the new clans I'd like to just get a collection of the issues at hand. These can be found in the complaints/feedback of the people. I will post a few, and if you have any yourself please post. Please also post your ideas here.

Building rec-clans for halo 3

i though about this awhile ago and would like to see som feedback about these from the other overlords. So when we start up the rec clans in halo3 will we,
1. just send clan inv to the people who were in the previous clan (example: I invite everyone who was in rec D like AuroraX, NH, Tubaguhbluba).
2. have everyone post in the request a clan invite thread, and maybe we can get a little change and get to now new people. And it would be only the overlords that are allowed to send out invites for the first few weeks until most of the already podtacular members get in a clan.
So what do you guys think? i say we do #2, since we wont know who has gotten halo3 if we do #1 and might waste space with pending invites.
