The latest addition to the Halo fiction is brought to us by the one and only Frank O’Connor, which brings up an interesting concept about Smart AIs in the Halo universe. In Saint’s Testimony, we hear the plea of one Smart AI, Iona or obtaining human rights in spite of her seven years of service approaching rampancy. She delves into the idea of dreaming, how it repairs certain parts of her neural net similar to how humans reorganize information when they sleep and dream. This show is filled with spoilers if you haven’t read/listened to it. We were pleased to have PensHalo on the show to discuss this book.
