Podtacular 414: Start Kicking Grif

Download
The Halo Community is one of great passion, commitment and generosity, so it’s no surprise that our guests from GrifballHub tonight already have a fully funded Kickstarter for a booth at RTX, all supported by the community. Goosechecka and Kalbelgarion give us the four-one-one on what their plans are for RTX this year where Podtacular will be in attendance. If you’re looking to help out fellow Spartans, than head on over to their Kickstarter and drop a few bucks. You’ll get some pretty cool stuff in return. In other community related news, Edgeworks Entertainment has released their full, uncut version of The Codex. If you’re looking for some good machinima from the days of old, this is a must see. You can also listen to Episode 80 of our podcast for an interview with some of the crew. Halo has also sparked some innovation… over on Project Spark that is where SEspider has been working on re-creating the Silent Cartographer mission from Halo: Combat Evolved. It’s very impressive given the current capabilities of the platform. In Halo Bulletin news this week, we get a closer look at the upcoming playlist Proving Grounds and some info on an Environment Artist position at 343 Industries.

I don’t know who these guests are, but they sound really handsome and awesome.

Why, I am so impressed by them that I am going to donate to their Kickstarter tout suite!

I’m about to listen to your podcast. Good or bad for me, I thank you you for the shout out and support.

You may be interested to know that there’s been a relatively large update since you podcast was posted. I’ve….well you can learn the details in the H.B.O. forum post I made yesterday (same thread as my original). But in short, the map is a LOT more accurately shaped and I’ve put out a call for Project Spark Brain Koders for help. The latest update (version 1.3.2) is up for download now.

Sorry for the double post. Just finished the podcast. Great work as usual. Wish my voice was as clear and “sexy” as you guys’. lol But nice to know I’m officially “Hard Core.” ;)

There seems to be a lot of questions and mis-infomation regarding Project Spark. As well as comparisons between it and Halo’s Forge. As well as fear getting into it (intimidation). As a avid Forger in both games, I can help answer a lot of questions as well as provide info on how to get started in both and what Forge skills can carry over to Project Spark and vice versa. If you’ll like that is. If you do ask me to be on the podcast, may I suggest doing it via the Xbox One’s party system? My 360 headset tends not to work all the time. And my 13 yr old computer doesn’t work well with internet, let alone Google Hangouts. Hince my using my phone to type this.

Eitherway, if anyone have questions or concerns about Halo Forge or Project Spark, then please hit me up on Xbox Live. I’ll be more then happy to help where I can.

Thanks again for the shout out & support, guys!

Kal nailed it, 343 has done A TON to try to get pro gamers happy with Halo 4, the updates, the 500K toruney and the invite/visit to 343 itself. The pros apparently dont know what they want as they have been given ample hands on opportunity to mold H4 to what they like and have themselves come up with blanks.

343 does ALOT in listening to community, too much IMHO, and people saying they should listen more might want to rethink that.. I feel 343 has in fact given the community too much say.

343 is giving the community unprecidented input!
