Podtacular 308: PAX Prime 2012

After returning from Seattle, PAX seemed like such a long time ago, felt like it lasted two weeks, but at the same time was really short. There were plenty of other games there besides Halo, although I personally didn’t go see much. We still have more videos to give out over the course of the weekend from PAX but those are mostly Halo related. This show, however is to talk about some of the other games that were there and the PAX experience as a whole for people who may not have been able to go. Halosaurus, CMNeir and MidgetDance join the podcast in Daft’s absence to talk about what they saw other than Halo. Don’t worry: we’ll be back to Halo next show. Enjoy

    Dust storm,
What was the video they showed durring the halo panel about? (It was the video they wouldn’t let anyone record.). Every video of the panel I’ve watched on YouTube doesn’t show it and Kiki (I believe it was her that said it) said that it would be released the following week (this week) but I haven’t seen it yet. Unless it was the video 343 put up today about CTF in Forward Unto Dawn.

You just answered your question :)

I’m assuming your gunna put out more episodes now that pax is over. But then summers over so I don’t know how crammed your scheduled are. Whats your plan for episode release time between episodes now?

Really, that CTF video was it??? That’s a big let down! I had hoped for something awesome considering they wouldn’t let anyone record it. What a tease!!!

You guys always do a great show, but I just got a bit of feedback. PAX has definitely started to shift its focus in the passed few years. Although there have been big events concerning AAA titles, the general media has now started to shift its focus to more and more indie developers. More and more people are showing up to see these instead of AAA games. Just a little comment. If what I said doesn’t make sense, just disregard it.

@MisterSmi13y, we agree with you. PAX has become less community focused and more indie-dev focused. It’s always nice to go and meet up with fellow gamers though.
