It is our first official Modtacular as we join forces from the good folks over at the Waypoint Community Modcast. It was inevitable for both of our shows to come together and it has finally happened. This certainly won’t be the last time either. We are joined by CruelLEGACEY and his crew of Waypoint Moderators to discuss officially the details released in the latest issue of Game Informer. 343i also released a first look into the composer for Halo 4. Podtacular 280: Game Informer Leak Reveal

This week during PAX East, some Halo 4 information in the latest issue of Game Informer got leaked to the public. While it’s still not technically official (when this was recorded), there is reason to believe that most of the information in the leak is accurate, and that’s what we’re here to talk about. We also have Eagleburn from the Halo sub-reddit to promote the first Reddit Halo tourney. It’s still not too late to sign up, so go check it out. Enjoy

The two big talking points discussed on the show are the non-informative responses we received form 343i and the end of the Reach API and online file share. On today’s show, we pull out the dusty mailbag and read your comments on the show’s we’ve had over the past couple of weeks. Needless to day, there are lots of opinions and questions out there about the Halo universe and Halo 4. We also have special guest Rob Imbs (Just Rob) who is making a film, Game Changers , based on two professional Halo players who are best friends pursuing different lives around gaming. It is an independent film driven by Indiegogo, similar to Kickstarter. If you like what you hear about the film in the podcast, be sure to head over to their project page and donate to the film. Being one of the most controversial things in Reach, there’s a lot to say: not just about armor lock, but armor abilities in general and how they have evolved in Halo. There exists a definite split between those who love armor lock and use it, and those who won’t even touch it with a 9-and-a-half foot pole. Podtacular 276: MLG Columbus 2012 and Halo 4 Multiplayer Competitive Analysis

The competitive scene is all excited about what was revealed in the Halo 4 news explosion this week: in particular, the return of the BR. However, the future of Halo making an appearance in the MLG Pro Circuit is on the fence. While 343i did appeal to the professional side of e-sports by introducing zero-bloom and bleed-through, there is a lacking presence in the Halo MLG scene. In this show, AnTi Pro from Boss Fight TV and Nak3d Eli from Nak3d Halo help discuss what is needed in Halo 4 to attract the competitive scene and the future of Halo in MLG this year. Enjoy

Podtacular 274: First Look at Halo 4

Yesterday, the first bulk of Halo 4 news came spewing down the pipes of the internet. There were interviews, analyses, and of course the main attraction: the first look video released by 343i. Of course, we have our own opinions about what we saw. Most of what we watched or read yesterday was good news, but there were definitely a few talking points that has us cautiously optimistic.
