No Halo Fest? No Problem!
For those of you who will be attending Halo Fest, you’ll get the chance to see Dust Storm up along with a lot of other community leaders at the Community Panel along with more awesome panels at the event. It is surely something that you will not want to miss. For those who are not able to go, shame on you for calling yourself a Halo Fan… Just kidding. There are going to be plenty of opportunities to get involved with the festivities. As we have mentioned already, 343i has teamed up with IGN to stream the panels from Halo Fest. There is also a new thread on the Waypoint forums where you can post your questions that we will get asked on the panel, so if you have a question that you want me to answer, post away.

Meet Podtacular CoHost GLewis at a Halo LAN in north Atlanta!
We don’t normally post things like this but I just wanted to get the word out on some Halo related events both Dustin and I are going to be attending. As most of you guys know Dust Storm has been invited by Waypoint to be apart of the Community Panel being held at Halo Fest in the coming weeks. So if any of you are in the area please feel free to stop by and say hello!
In other news, GLewis will be at a Pre-Raleigh MLG Event being held in North Atlanta that you can apart of! We encourage everyone who can to come out to the event to watch some great halo and come meet one of the shows cohosts. The event will feature a 4v4 MLG-Style tournament with a Team Pass to MLG Raligh as the first place prize. It’s $5 to watch and $100 for a team of four to enter to compete. Needless to say I will not be competing in the tournament. All details can be found here!
We Have Something They Don’t: Luck
For some reason, over the past few months, we have received quite a number of spikes in traffic here at Podtacular. We seem to be hitting marks that we didn’t think we were trying to hit. First it was Frankie replying to our E3 show, then it was Dust Storm being on The Running Riot, then there was the Podcast of All Halo Podcasts, etc. Well, prepare to get even more attention, my dear community. Your host, Dust Storm, has been given the opportunity of a lifetime: a spot on the Waypoint Community panel at Halo Fest. You heard right, because I had to check twice if I heard right as well (yes, I was speaking in 3rd person before). I have been presented with a media badge for Halo Fest and will probably get to meet some cool people and get come awesome interviews, but more importantly, I will be sitting in front of thousands of Halo fanatics and more if IGN streams the panel. So if you are there, please let me know, cause there will be a podcast recorded there. Also, any burning questions you’ve wanted to ask Frankie, send them in.
Win PAX Tickets From Halo Waypoint
Got another doozie here for you folks. Looks like the guys, and gals, from Halo Waypoint are giving away PAX Prime tickets everyday this week via their twitter account. All you have to do is submit a picture of yourself via twitter holding a sign that says ”I want Podtacular to go to Halo: Fest.” … No really submit a picture of yourself holding a sign that says “I want to go to Halo Fest” Selections are at random so please don’t go overboard with the pictures. Though I personally encourage it.
What is Halo Fest you ask? Well if you don’t check the homepage often, or if you live under a rock, it’s the 10 year anniversary celebration 343 is holding at PAX this year in Seattle on August 26th through the 28th. Halo: Faith Behind the Scenes Sneakpeak
Whoa do we have an awesome video in store for you people. In the last episode of Podtacular we talked a little about this project named Halo: Faith. If you did not catch the episode you can find it here. For those of you who are to lazy to listen though, Halo: Faith is a fan made MOVIE about the Halo Universe. Not much has been known about the project, with the producers turning on their active-camo, but this past weekend the crew released a very short sneak peak behind the scenes of the upcoming movie on their facebook page.
Needless to say we here at Podtacular cannot wait ’till the movie comes out. Here is a direct link to the video. AWESOME!
Microsoft teams up with IGN on Halo Fest
Looks like 343 and Microsoft just added an offical media outlet for the upcoming Halo Fest that will be held in the coming weeks and sadly it isn’t us. However, you should be excited to know that IGN will be bringing you, and me, more information on Halo Fest leading up to the event, during the event, and after the event (for some reason??).
Whats Halo Fest you ask? Well, it is an event and party held at PAX Prime in Seattle, Washington August 26 through the 28th. They are throwing this special occasion to celebrate the 10th anniversity of the Halo Franchise! To hear part one of our Celebration head over to the Halo Decade Show, Part 1.
Anyone planning on attending Halo: Fest? How about if Podtacular Hosts a Halo: Fest on Xbox Live where you can play with the hosts and some other cool people from around the community? Tell us what you think in the comments.
Anniversary Podcast Live Tomorrow
As you are already aware (or maybe not), tomorrow is our big day when we do our live show in celebration of Halo’s 10 year anniversary. It is slated to start at 1900 (7:00 PM) Eastern, but make sure to come early to catch some funny pre-show shenanigans. We also have a big guest lineup.

Dust Storm on The Running Riot
Tonight I have the privilege of being the featured guest on The Running Riot podcast with long time podcasting friend Kete. The time has come to make a grand announcement that is sure to have everyone jumping out of their Warthogs. In respect of the upcoming 10th anniversary of the Halo Franchise, we thought it appropriate to have a somewhat special podcast to commemorate this event. We have had quite a few guests on our show over the past few years, some very prominent in the Halo and gaming communities. Needless to say, we have put together a grand panel of Halo enthusiasts to help us take a walk down memory lane and talk about the grand experiences and memories we share. On June 18th, we will be broadcasting a live panel with a chance for you all to be on the show in some way or form. We will have Halo Community Celebrities like bs angel, Kete, CMNeir, JVB, Foo Mo Jive, Louis Wu, and many more. Be sure to mark your calendars, cause this is going to be so huge, we may max out Skype’s capabilities. Stay tuned for more news as it develops.
