There has been a movement to get everyone to play Halo 3 for nostalgia’s sake. Well, today is that day! While I’m having fun at PAX East, I won’t be able to join in the festivities, but you should hop on and get some games in with some other Halo fans that have helped promote the movement. If you get lucky and run into Greenskull, you might even get an avatar code. Details can be found on his YouTube channel.

Everyone probably noticed that we haven’t done anything on the site within the last two weeks, with good reason.  I have been traveling the East Coast visiting some fellow podcasters and taking a vacation.  In a nutshell, I got to go to New York and visit Chris Burke, aka. Damian Lacedamian from This Spartan Life and Kete from The Running Riot.  I was planning to see JVB, but he’s a busy man.  Next stop was Florida where I got to meet Podtacular founder foomojive in Orlando and Community Godfather ChuckieJ in Gainesville.  For pictures and more, check out the forums.

We will be resuming our show this week with talks about ATLAS, Custom Challenges, and the updates we’ve seen to Waypoint and matchmaking.

Dear Podtacular and Halo Communities,

Halo Fest was a great time to meet you all, the community and other fantastic community leaders.  I was truly blessed with the ability to attend thanks to bs angel over at 343 Industries.  I got to attend amazing panels, play the new Reach maps, and have the best time of my life.  Needless to say, I got to meet and talk to people in person that I never thought I would and was completely amazed during the whole event.  While all of this made my experience one that I will never forget, it does not address the underlying theme that Halo Fest was built upon: the community.
